Principal’s Message
Dear Lipscomb Families,
What a wonderful first week of school! It has been a joy to welcome our Lions back and see our classrooms filled with excitement, curiosity, and smiling faces. Our students have done an amazing job learning new routines, building relationships, and settling into the rhythm of the school day.
Thank you to our dedicated teachers and staff for creating such a warm and welcoming start to the year. I am also grateful to our families for your patience, encouragement, and partnership—especially as we worked together to make arrival and dismissal safer and smoother each day.
We are incredibly proud of how our Lions have started the year: arriving ready to learn, showing kindness, and giving their best effort. This first week has set a positive tone for the year ahead, and I am excited about all that we will accomplish together.
Please enjoy a restful weekend, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back on Monday for another great week of learning and growing!
With Lion Pride,
Principal

🦁Arrival🦁
Thank you, families, for helping us have a smooth arrival this week! 💛 We are so proud to see our Lions arriving each morning on time, ready to learn and start their day strong! 🦁✨
Here are a couple of friendly reminders to help us continue having a safe and smooth arrival each morning:
🦁 PreK & Kinder — Auditorium Side
🚗 Carline: Parents, please remain in the carline. Our staff will safely escort your Lion(s) to the entry door.
Please avoid parking and walking your child to the entrance, as this slows down the entire carline. Thank you for helping us keep the line moving safely and efficiently.
🚶 Walkers: Please drop off your Lion(s) at the GATE, and we will escort them to the entry door.
🦁 Grades 1–5 — Cafeteria Side
🍎 Please remind your Lion(s) to pick up their breakfast as they enter the cafeteria before heading to their classrooms.
Thank you for your continued support and for helping us start each day safe, smooth, and ready to learn! 💛🦁
🦁Dismissal🦁
Always have your child's temporary pickup card in order to be allowed through the dismissal doors.
- Please note that the two temporary pickup cards you received this week are to be used through September 30th.
Any student who has not been picked up by 3:35 PM will be considered a late pickup. After 3:35 PM, parents/guardians will need to pick up their student from the cafeteria door labeled “Late Pickup.”
Thank you for your cooperation in helping us ensure a safe and smooth dismissal process.

Join the SBDM Committee
The Site-Based Decision Making Committee serves as an advisory council to the principal.
The SBDM committee comprises of the campus principal, teachers, school staff, parents,
business and community representatives.
The SBDM is designed to be the umbrella for which all school related issues, activities, and
initiatives are discussed. The recommendations and suggestions made by the committee
should align with the campus improvement plan and promote student achievement. Ultimately,
it is the principal who is responsible for the instructional and operational functions of the campus
and therefore, final decisions are reserved for the principal.
As school related issues occur or school activities and initiatives evolve, the SBDM committee
may authorize a sub-committee to convene to resolve the issue or implement the activity and
initiative. Sub-Committees vary from school to school depending on the needs of the campus
and community.
