JUNE & JULY EDITION NEWSLETTERS
In the summer newsletters (June & July Editions) you will find helpful resources to keep you and your family engaged this summer! We have compiled a list of community resources, summer camps, and academic help to beat the heat and summer boredom.
This is the June Edition and has information for June!
Once I have July Food Resources & 4th of July Celebrations info I will send out July Edition.
Keeping up academically over the summer is crucial for growth in the fall. For children in grades kindergarten -8th, NWEA.ORG states that on average, test scores flatten or drop during the summer, with larger drops typically in math than reading. Help your child overcome the "lag" by using the links and information in this newsletter.
We hope you find this helpful and have a GREAT & SAFE SUMMER!

RINNGOLD - Cruzin the Depot
Travel back in time at “Cruzin the Depot.” Remember back in the day when you used to cruise around to all your favorite local spots? Windows down, oldies playing through the radio as you coasted through downtown Ringgold, popped over to the Shoney’s in Rossville, or took in the sights in Fort O, Brainerd, and East Ridge.
The Ringgold Cruisers and Pharoah’s Choo Choo, TN, have teamed up to bring a “Cruz Night” to the City of Ringgold, so you can take it back to those good ‘ole days! Organizers are working with the local radio station, so you can listen to all your favorite music from the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s while you cruise, park, hang out with friends, shop local businesses, and grab a bite to eat at the local eateries. We look forward to seeing everyone and “Cruzin the Depot”!
Cruise-ins happen on the first Saturday of each month, beginning in March and running through November. The event starts at 6 pm, but the streets start filling up quickly around 5 pm, so arrive early to get a good spot!
