Growing Kindness: CCA Service Week
Service learning is a cherished tradition at CCA, and after a brief hiatus, the Culture and Climate Committee is thrilled to reintroduce this opportunity to our students. During the week of April 20th, our students will engage in a variety of meaningful service projects—both on-campus and within the local community—to make a lasting impact:
- K, 2nd, & 4th Grade: Visiting residents at local senior centers.
- 1st Grade: Decorating meal bags for Project Angel Heart.
- 3rd Grade: Assembling birthday kits for the Salvation Army.
- 5th Grade: Packing weekend food bags for the Parker Task Force.
- 6th Grade: Making tie blankets for Colorado Children’s Hospital.
- 7th Grade: Performing cleanup along the Highline Canal.
- 8th Grade: Sorting medical supplies at Project C.U.R.E.
Many thanks to the Board's Culture & Climate committee for coordinating these projects!

Calling Volunteers!
Help Needed for the Spring Art & Music Festival
We are getting ready for the Spring Art & Music Festival and could use your help! If you have time available during the school day any day in April to come in and help cut paper for mats, match up nametags or staple work to mats, we need you! Please contact Mrs. Peterson if you are interested in preparing our student artwork for all students for the festival.
If you have time on May 11th or May 18th to hang or take down art work during the school day, we could use at least 4 people for several hours on those days. Thank you in advance for giving your time to ensure the success of our Spring Art & Music Festival.
Mrs. Jodi M.L. Peterson

Mrs. MacFarland is also looking for volunteers - please check Track It Forward for specific dates and times.
A Note from Coach Branson
Hey CCA Family,
I just wanted to let everyone know that our family has decided to move back home to Utah following this school year. This was such a hard decision for me as I have come to really care about all of my students, this is tough…
Thank you all for your support and kindness. It has been a privilege to teach and coach such awesome students, and I’m gonna really miss being part of their growth both in and out of the gym.
CCA will always hold a special place in my heart, and I am grateful for the memories and relationships built here. I hope our paths cross again.

A Tradition of Heart and Heritage: Reflections on our 2026 Multicultural Festival
I want to extend a huge, "Thank you" to our event chairs, country hosts, volunteers, and performers who gave their time not once, but twice to bring the world to our students.
This festival is a proud CCA tradition that grows bigger and better every year. To everyone who stepped up to lead a country booth, perform on stage, or help behind the scenes: you have done more than volunteered, you have strengthened our bond as a school. A special thank you also to our staff and administration for their tireless support.
We would love to hear your thoughts! Whether you volunteered or attended with your family, please share your feedback with us so we can continue to grow. Please send comments and suggestions to PTOSocial@cherrycreekacademy.org.
Thank you for making CCA a place where every culture has a home.
