Kennedy Families,

The first semester of the school year ended on January 16th. Below you will find messages about progress reports and NWEA winter assessments. Please take some time to check out your student's academic progress through the first half of the year.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact your student's teacher or email me at srusta1@isd77.org.

Thank you, as always, for your partnership and support. Kennedy is an amazing school because of the shared commitment of our students, staff, and families.

It’s great to be a Cub!

We have reached the halfway mark of the school year! As we continue to enhance our communication and streamline access to important information, we are pleased to inform you of a significant update regarding your child's academic progress.

As our data is updated throughout the year, we work to inform you when recent data has been updated in the Infinite Campus parent portal. Your child's Fall Progress Reports are now available for you to view under the ā€œDocumentsā€ tab. Please make sure you adjust the year to ā€œ25-26ā€.

To access your child's Fall Progress Reports in Infinite Campus, simply log in to your parent portal account using your credentials. If you encounter any difficulties or have questions about accessing or interpreting the data, please don't hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher via Remind or email. If you are having difficulty accessing the document through Infinite Campus, please email

ICsupport@isd77.org for support.

We believe that by making Progress Reports readily available on Infinite Campus, we can strengthen the partnership between home and school, working together to ensure the academic success and well-being of every student. Thank you for your continued support and involvement in your child's education.

Wishing you a continued successful school year, and we look forward to continuing our communication on your child’s academic progress.

You will find your child’s NWEA RIT Score and Overall Percentile score live in Infinite Campus under the Student Test Detail Tab. These scores help summarize how your child is performing academically, as measured by the most recent NWEA Growth test your child has taken. These tests and scores help teachers check student performance by measuring achievement and growth. Teachers use results to tailor classroom lessons and set goals for students.

NWEA Growth tests are unique and adapt to your child’s responses to measure your child’s knowledge. If your child answers a question correctly, the next question is more challenging. If they answer incorrectly, the next one is easier. The results provide a more complete picture of where your child is on their learning journey.

NWEA Growth scores provide accurate information about your child’s learning and help teachers to identify students with similar scores in similar skills and topics and then plan instruction accordingly.

Your child’s NWEA Growth results are represented as RIT scores. RIT scores have the same meaning across grade levels. This stable scale allows teachers to accurately measure each student’s academic growth throughout the school year and over time.

If you have questions, please contact me at srusta1@isd77.org.
