Let's Get Spooky
Parents, Teachers, and Students
Thank you for the record-breaking attendance to our Fall Festival Trunk or Treat and Haunted House events. Interact Club raised $2500 that will fund future community and international service projects.
Red Ribbon Week will conclude on October 31, but we've got some fun dress down days in store before it's over. Then we will focus our attention on the upcoming holiday season and preparing for Fall exams. As always, we appreciate everything you do in support of Bobcat Nation.
Bobcats in Action
Teens for Healthy Youth coordinated a fantastic Red Ribbon Week/Just Drive Assembly that featured Jenifer Klepesky, a parent and community advocate, our SRO Officer Frazier, Mr. Robert "Tabor" Vaux Jr. a local attorney, and Sgt. Master Higgins a State Highway Patrol Officer.
More than 100 Bobcats visited USCB Bluffton Campus for a college fair last Thursday.
Important Events
Author Study with Kwame Alexander
We're super excited to announce that our students will be able to participate in a livestreamed “Author Study” with renowned author Kwame Alexander and special guest Jason Reynolds on Tuesday, October 29.
This 45-minute virtual author visit is focused on young readers and writers and will include Kwame Alexander reading from his new book, Black Star, and talking about ideas and strategies through a brief writing craft lesson.
If you do NOT want your child to participate in this voluntary event, an Opt-Out Form has been provided. Please have your student return the form to the library prior to the event.
Hurricane Relief Collection
In honor of a teacher at Boiling Springs High School, Annamaria Fletcher, who was killed during Hurricane Helene, Bluffton High and May River High School are joining together in a school supply drive as part of relief efforts for the victims. While we are joining together to support students in need, we are also competing against each other to see which school can get the most supplies, so we need your help!
Starting today, October 21, through next Friday, November 1, students can drop off donations at the front of the school or at the bus loop in the appropriate donation boxes each morning, or they can bring supplies to Ms. Wojnisz in room 1030.
An AMAZON Wish List has been created for your convenience.
