Million Words or Less
Parents, this is the final week to turn in your Million Words or Less parent homework assignment. We’ve loved reading the submissions so far. It’s been such a meaningful way to get to know your student better! Please send your completed assignment to your child’s homeroom teacher or email it directly to jodi.miller@ccstn.org.
Student Council
Student Council Form turn in will be extended until Wednesday. Forms can be picked up in the front office or printed below. Five candidate will be selected per grade level.
As a representative for my grade I know that I will be responsible to do the following:
1. Attend all student council meetings. (To be held during school hours once a month)
2. Help give tours to guests.
3. Participate and take pride in CMS and the school’s activities.
4. Encourage my grade level to also take pride in CMS and the school’s activities.
5. Be free of any discipline referral in the current academic year.
6. Know how to check my school email and send emails.

FREE, REDUCED MEAL APPLICATIONS
The 2025-2026 application for free and reduced meals is now available. It is extremely important that all families who believe their children qualify for free or reduced meals complete the application. Only one application per family is needed. If you qualified for free/reduced in the past, the application must be submitted within 30 operating days of the new year or the student will be moved from free/reduced to paying beginning September 18. Applications can be completed online via Skyward. Printed applications are available at each school. Applications must be submitted and approved each school year for a student to receive benefits. Families can click here for more information, including a Frequently Asked Questions document about free and reduced-price school meals and a free and reduced-price application (both in English and Spanish). Contact the School Nutrition Department at 615-746-1411 with questions or for assistance.
