ATHLETICS NEWS
This Past Week in Athletics
This past week, our CMIT South Middle School Soccer teams were back in action with two games each. On Monday, both teams hosted Colin Powell Academy for our final home game of the season. Despite strong efforts, we were unable to secure a win. On Wednesday, we traveled to James Madison, where our girls team earned a hard-fought 2-1 victory. Our boys team battled but ultimately fell short.
Our JV Baseball team faced off against St. Vincent Pallotti on Tuesday, continuing their competitive spring campaign.
On Saturday, our High School Track and Field team competed at Reservoir High School, showcasing their hard work and determination.
A major highlight of the week was our first-ever Athletic Signing Day, held on Tuesday, April 30. Congratulations to Nassir Sellers on signing his National Letter of Intent to run track at Salisbury University! During the event, we also recognized our senior spring athletes during a special Senior Night tribute. A big shoutout to:
Track & Field Seniors: Kyle Ennis, Darren Murray, Kierstyn Grant, Mark Green, Derrick Mallard, Nassir Sellers, and Tyniah Greene
Baseball Senior: Kamari Delanie
Thank you to everyone who came out to support!

Team members Charlotte Pullum, Ethan Willis, Meron Gebeyehu, Nelly Mosoke, and Gabrielle McCoy, created a small solar house that generated ten volts of electricity. As a result of their win, this team received an invitation to attend the International Competition.
