SCIENCE: Students who signed up for Organic Chemistry last spring: You can still take the class, please see Mrs. Wheaton in Room 114 for more information. If you are planning to go into biological science or chemistry, this class will be very helpful.

FOOD SERVICE: The cafeteria staff would like to remind students that fruit, milk, and the salad bar are available with ALL meals at no extra charge.

FCCLA: If anyone wants to join FCCLA, they can ask Chef Mica for the paperwork. Our first meeting is on September 16 @ 7:15 AM in Chef Mica's room.

ELECTRONIC/CELL PHONE POLICY

Sturgis Brown High School is committed to providing a focused, distraction-free learning environment for all students. Under Policy JFCR: Cell Phones & Portable Media Digital Devices, there is zero cell phone use during classroom time or passing periods. Students are allowed to use cell phones during lunchtime ONLY.

Electronic devices must be stored in lockers, backpacks, or designated classroom areas, and smart watches must be set to airplane or school mode. Students who violate the policy will face progressive consequences.

Parents and guardians who need to reach their student during the school day are welcome to call the high school office. Our staff will be happy to relay important messages to students in a timely manner, helping families stay connected while minimizing classroom disruptions.

We appreciate the support of our students and families as we work together to keep the focus on learning at SBHS.

The Scooper Hub is a FREE after-school space where SBHS students can study, work with friends, get help from teachers, finish homework, prepare for tests, or make up quizzes and tests.

When: Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays
Time: 3:15–5:15 PM
Place: SBHS Library
🍿 FREE snacks provided!

Come for 20 minutes or stay for two hours—it’s your time! Attendance is completely voluntary, and students who drive or have their own ride may leave at any time. Students riding the late bus must stay until 5:15 PM to receive a late bus pass.
