September 3-5 News
A Note from Mrs. Hobbs
We have had a wonderful start to the school year! It has been exciting to see our students back in the building, learning, growing, and reconnecting with friends and staff. Thank you for helping make the beginning of the year such a success.
As we settle into our routines, we want to emphasize the importance of regular attendance. Being at school consistently helps students stay connected to their learning, build strong relationships, and make continued academic progress. We appreciate your partnership in making attendance a priority and ensuring students arrive on time and ready to learn each day.
We are looking forward to a fantastic year of learning and growth together!

We are just a couple weeks away from our Annual Fall Carnival! We are excited to announce some new features of the event which include a Magic Show by Marty The Magician and an Ariel Acrobatics exhibit presented by 417 Ariel. We also have a great lineup of games, concessions, the Dunk Tank, silent auction, Jay Threads, and much, much more! We hope you and your family will join us for an evening of fun and fellowship.
How can you help?
- Cash donations will be accepted at any office to help offset the cost of concession stand supplies (pizza, candy, popcorn, soda pop). If you'd like to purchase specific items, please reach out to Mrs. Teague at teaguem@cleverbluejays.org for more information
- Silent Auction Prizes- We are looking for gift certificates to restaurants, retail stores, "experiences", themed baskets, etc. All prizes can be dropped off at the PK-2 office anytime before September 23rd.
- Event Volunteers- If you'd like to donate your time to help throughout the evening please reach out.
We are nearing the end of our Free/Reduced form contest. All families in PK-12 grade are encouraged to fill out the F/R application or "opt out" form that was sent home the first day of school. Those will be entered into the drawing for several Walmart gift cards. Only one application per family is needed.

Leader in Me
Clever is a Leader in Me school. Leader in Me is a focus based off of the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. Each month 3-5 will focus on a specific habit. Students will receive LEADERSLIPS which highlight when a student is showcasing leadership skills. Be sure to follow the Clever Schools 3-5 Facebook page for pictures of students who earned leaderslips.
Red, White, and BLUEJAYS!
Third, fourth, and fifth graders found out which action team they will serve on during our reveal assembly. Students selected their top five choices and were placed on one of those teams. 300 students ready to lead the way!
Bluejay Bravo
Help us celebrate the people who make Clever Schools special!
Did a teacher or staff member make your day, go the extra mile, show kindness, or make a difference for you or your child? Send them a Bluejay Bravo!
Your message will be reviewed and shared with the staff member so they know their efforts were noticed and appreciated.
Bluejay Bravos may also be shared in district communications or on social media.
