NIPSSA Interschool Athletics Carnival
After several weeks of dedicated before-school training, our talented athletics squad represented St Anthony’s with pride at the NIPSSA Interschool Athletics Carnival held at Kingsway. The students showed wonderful commitment in preparing for their track and field events, and their efforts certainly paid off on the day!
Across the 24 field events, our athletes achieved some outstanding results — including 10 first places, 3 second places, 4 third places and 4 fourth places. We also had many top performances in the 100m, 200m, and 400m events, and several impressive first-place finishes in the 6x100m team relays, showing the value of all those extra practice sessions. Every student gave their personal best and contributed to an incredible team effort.
A huge thank you to the staff and parents who supported the students throughout the training period and on the day of competition. We would also like to congratulate and thank all the students who were part of the athletics squad but did not compete on the day — your enthusiasm, commitment, and effort during training were an important part of the team’s overall success.
After several years of finishing in the top three, we are thrilled to announce that St Anthony’s claimed 1st place overall, with a total of 1,246 points, ahead of Liwara (1,204), St Luke’s (1,133), and Mercy College (877). Congratulations to all our students on this fantastic achievement — a true testament to your hard work, teamwork, and school spirit!
