News from the Creek
OCTOBER 2026
Happy October!
Fall is in the air, and with it comes an exciting season of learning and growth at our school. This month, students will be diving deeper into their studies while also enjoying special activities that celebrate the season. We are grateful for your continued partnership and support as we work together to create a safe, engaging, and joyful place for our children to learn and thrive.
As we turn the corner into October, we are excited to share with you some fun opportunities happening at The Creek!
NO SCHOOL ~ OCTOBER 16TH
Reminder ... Friday, October 16th is a Teacher Professional Development Day. There is no school for students.

Topics include:
- Math Strategies to support student success
- What can you do at home to enhance learning?
- You didn't learn math this way - it's okay!
BOO! NIGHT AT THE CREEK!
BOO! Night the Creek is coming the Chandler Creek on Thursday, October 22nd, 5:30pm - 7:00pm. Wear your favorite (but not too scary) costume and join us for some fall fun!
EARLY DISMISSALS
We understand that sometimes early dismissals are unavoidable, but when students leave school early, they miss valuable instructional time. Even just a few minutes at the end of the day can mean missing directions, class discussions, or important closing routines that help students connect their learning. Frequent early dismissals can add up quickly, resulting in lost opportunities for growth.
As a reminder, school hours are 7:45am - 2:15pm. Thank you for helping us maximize every moment of learning by keeping your child at school until dismissal whenever possible.
FRONT CAR LINE DISMISSAL
When arriving for afternoon dismissal in the front pick-up loop, please do not advance past the cones if you are in the inside lane. Filling both the curbed lane and the inside lane blocks cars from leaving and prevents emergency vehicles from accessing the building. Cars in the inside lane should not advance until the cones are moved at approximately 1:50pm.

TITLE I AT THE CREEK
OCTOBER NEWS
Happy Fall Parents and Families,
One way our school partners with families is through our Title I program. Title I provides federal funding to ensure all students have an equitable and high-quality education. We will use these funds to offer additional academic support, provide valuable learning resources, and host engaging family events. Our goal is to communicate effectively, support successfully and work collaboratively with families to serve our students. Together, we can help our students achieve their full potential. Below is a link to our goals for the 2026-2027 school year and how we can better serve you. October is the perfect time to chat with your child’s teacher about their academic progress and expectations for the year. Please review our Parent and Family Engagement Policy and our Parent and Family Compact linked below. You will receive a hard copy of both of these documents at fall conferences, which are being scheduled by your child’s teacher now.
Please contact the Title I team if you have any questions.
