8/16/2025 One week in - We are setting "The Standard!"
July 22 WGHSO takes over Feed My Starving Children. We took almost 40 of the WGHSO members and families to Richardson and packed thousands of meals to be shipped all over the world in order to provide nutritious meals for kids.
August 4 WGHSO members joined forces with PISD musicians and performed in the Comerica Stars Center in Frisco at the Annal Prosper Convocation. This connects with our mission to share our gifts with school, district, and community events.
Watch out for Calendar dates in Summer 2026 as the WGHSO builds a culture of high level opportunities for our members.

Winter Park Music Festival
- WGHS will take 2 Orchestras to the Orchestra Competition
- All WGHS Chamber Orchestra members & A Concert Orchestra (made up of combined members from Phil & Sym Orchestras)
- We will have a GoFundr Campaign to lower the entire cost of the trip
- Our planned price for the Spring Music Festival is $1275, which will be affected by number of students/airfare cost at time of purchase and % of the buses seats filled. (installment scheduloe will be available)
- This is a National Festival with wonderful performance/team building opportunities
