Warhawk Culture
Happy Mother’s Day to our wonderful Warhawk Moms!
We want to take a moment to show our immense gratitude for everything you do. Our school community is only as strong as the families within it, and your support is what allows us to thrive. Whether you are volunteering your time, cheering from the sidelines, or supporting your students through the late-night hustle of homework and activities, we see your dedication.
In our building, we strive to Pursue Excellence, but we know that excellence begins at home with the foundation you provide. You Own It every day by showing up for your kids and our school in countless ways, proving that we are truly Better Together.
We simply could not do what we do without you. We hope you take this weekend to relax and enjoy the appreciation you’ve more than earned. You are a vital part of the Warhawk family!
Happy Mother's Day! 🌸
Wings Up,
Dawn Sayre

AP College Board Honor Roll
We are excited to share that Westerville Central High School has been named to the AP School Honor Roll!
This award is a huge honor for our school. It recognizes schools that do an outstanding job of welcoming students into AP courses and supporting them on their journey toward college success. At WCHS, we believe in the Warhawk Blueprint value to Pursue Excellence, and this recognition shows exactly what happens when our students and staff aim high.
This achievement wouldn't be possible without the dedication of our students and the incredible leadership of our staff. Please join us in congratulating:
Our AP Teaching Team: Autumn McCormick, Craighton Bulger, Donald Ogle, Brent Morrison, Michael Banig, Katherine Mahoney, Bridget Cargin, Jeffrey Mengerink, Jody Christy, Amie Ward, Stephanie Shaw, Matthew Krella, Erin Moehl, Anthony Forrest, Allison Hennesy, and Susannah Wince.
Mackenzie Strubel (School Counselor) and Max Gunn (Assistant Principal) for their leadership and support in helping our students navigate these college-level opportunities.
The AP School Honor Roll looks at how well we are preparing our Warhawks for life after graduation. WCHS hit high marks in three key areas:
College Culture: Over 40% of our recent graduates challenged themselves by taking at least one AP exam.
College Credit: More than 25% of our seniors scored a 3 or higher on an exam, earning them valuable college credit while still in high school.
College Optimization: We are helping students spread out their AP courses—starting as early as 9th or 10th grade—so they can build a strong transcript without feeling overwhelmed in their final year.
By participating in AP, our students aren't just earning credits—they are building the grit and study skills they’ll need to thrive in the future. We are so proud of our AP students for their hard work and our families for the support you provide at home.
Thank you for being part of a community that constantly strives for excellence.
Go Warhawks!
Senior Lunch & Walk
We are thrilled to continue one of our favorite Warhawk traditions—the Senior Lunch and Walk—as we celebrate the Class of 2026!
This special event will take place on Friday, May 15, 2026, and we would love for you to join us in making it a memorable day for our Seniors.
Here’s what the day will look like:
12:30 PM – Senior Class Meeting in the Auditorium (Students Only)
We’ll review key information about graduation rehearsal and the upcoming graduation ceremony.1:00–1:45 PM – Senior Lunch (Students Only)
We’ll be grilling out and serving lunch to the Class of 2026 as a way to celebrate their hard work and accomplishments.1:55 PM – Senior Walk Begins (Parents and Students)
Seniors will line up outside the West doors alongside our amazing Warhawk Band. They’ll walk through the Commons and exit through the East doors by the stadium.
We invite all parents and guardians to join us at 1:55pm by lining up outside the East doors, forming a tunnel of celebration for our Seniors to walk through. The walk will conclude on Warhawk Field, where families and students can gather, take pictures, pick up a small gift from us for each graduate and enjoy this special time together.
We hope you can attend and help us send off the Class of 2026 with pride, love, and lots of Warhawk spirit!
