Dear Huskie Community,

I hope you are enjoying summer. We are only about 3 weeks out from registration and 4 weeks out from the first day of classes. We are very much looking forward to welcoming students and staff back to the building.

As you may be noticing, we are making good progress on the west end addition. Everything that needs to be completed outside of the fencing area will be completed by early August. This will allow us to operate as safely and normally as possible for the start of school and fall activities that take place in the stadium area. The addition is expected to be completed for the opening of school in fall 2027. We will be living with the construction for the entire 2026-2027 school year with vehicles and workers coming and going from campus regularly. Please be extra cautious when driving on campus, allow a few extra minutes, and pay close attention to any signage. We want to be sure the workers and the entire Huskie community is safe around the project.

Below you will find important information on registration, fall sports, and some upcoming volunteer opportunities.

Enjoy your last few weeks of summer and Go Huskies!!

Sincerely,

Jay Wachtel

2026-2027 REGISTRATION

School Registration Information is now available!

NEW for the 2026-2027 school year - All information and forms needed for registration for the 2026-2027 school year are posted on the NNHS website: https://nnhs.naperville203.org/student-services/nnhsregistration

Please read through each link in order to be fully informed. There will be no packet mailed to homes. If you need a paper copy of any form and cannot print at home, please stop by the main office.

Please note these important dates for registration:

Freshmen - Thursday, August 6, 8:00 - 11:00 AM
Sophomores - Friday, August 7, 8:00 - 11:00 AM
Juniors - Thursday, August 6, 12:00 PM - 2:30 PM
Seniors - Friday, August 7, 12:00 PM - 2:30 PM

If you cannot make the listed time for your student, any student is welcome to come to registration AFTER the date for their grade, but not before. Their information will not be available before their listed date and time.

There will also be late registration available on August 12 from 12:00-2:00.

Free and reduced lunch:

A new application needs to be completed each school year. It is recommended that you return the completed application to the main office prior to Registration. Applications are available online after July 1 at www.naperville203.org by selecting Services then National School Lunch Program.

School Fees:

We are excited to announce that D203 will be using SchoolCash Online for our upcoming school year. This will be our preferred method of payment for school fees. It is designed to be safer, faster, and more convenient than sending cash or checks with your student. You will receive an email from SchoolCash later in July; please know it is a legitimate communication from the district regarding setting up your parent account. Please be sure to set up your account before student registration to be able to make payments for an Athletics Pass, Boosters Club, Home & School, NEF, and Senior Parking.

School/course fees will be added to student accounts on October 1st.

Course Verification:

You should have received email notification on May 28/29 with your student’s course verification listing courses selected for the 2026–27 school year (presented in random order).

Please review your course list and complete the REQUEST FORM by August 3 to notify the Counseling team if you need to request changes as permitted in the Naperville 203 Program Planning Guide:

Failure or poor performance of a previous course
Completion of a summer school or district-approved course

Misplacement in a course
College or university admission requirements (seniors only)
Drop a course for a study hall (and late arrival/early dismissal for seniors)

For an extenuating circumstance that doesn’t fall under one of the reasons listed in the Program Planning Guide, please see your counselor in August. Students will complete a paper request form, and we will evaluate these needs thoughtfully on an individual basis with no more than one request being approved per student.

All change requests will be reviewed on an individual basis and are subject to space availability in the requested courses.

Senior Parking:

Eligible students who applied for senior parking have been included in a lottery drawing for available spaces. Students who have won will be notified in July prior to Senior Registration. If you are notified you received a parking pass, you will need to submit these items to NNHS:

Parent Signature Form
Proof of Driver’s License (photocopy)
$100 payment to School Cash or cash

*None of these items should be submitted until notifications go out with details

CHROMEBOOK RETURN

If you currently have a Chromebook from last school year please return that device, along with your charging cord, at registration in order for you to get a new device for the upcoming school year.

Thank You – NN Tech Department

PRE-ACT SCORES

We received the results a little later this year, so we weren't able to get them out before school ended. The hard copies will be distributed during registration in August.

FALL ATHLETIC INFORMATION

Huskies,

We are quickly approaching the start of the Fall Sports season, and we could not be more excited to see our student-athletes back in action for the 2026-2027 school year.

Tryouts and Practices Begin

Fall tryouts and practices begin Monday, August 10, with the exception of Football, which begins Wednesday, August 5 at 7:45 AM on the NN Balcony. Start times and meeting locations for every program are listed in the attached graphic. Sideline Cheer and Sideline Dance will continue their current practice schedules.

Before Your Athlete Can Participate

Every athlete must complete sport registration and have a current physical on file with the Athletic Department before attending a tryout or practice. No exceptions. Freshmen may use a qualifying school-entry physical. Physicals must remain current for the entire season. The Fall Athletic Checklist walks families through each step.

Limited-Roster Sports

Boys Golf, Girls Golf, Boys Soccer, Girls Tennis, and Girls Volleyball have limited roster sizes and require tryouts. Students not selected for a limited-roster team are welcome to join an open-roster fall sport — those programs accept new athletes through the start of the school year. If this applies to your athlete, contact the coach or the Athletic Department as soon as possible after tryouts so we can find the right fit.

Blue and Orange Night — Friday, August 14

Blue and Orange Night is back this year in full. More information will come from your participating program's head coach.

Fall Media Day — Saturday, August 15

Team photos, individual photos, captain photos, and senior hype video filming all take place at Huskie Stadium. Report times will come from your program's head coach. There will be no reshoots.

Fall Athletic Orientation Night — Monday, August 17, 6:00 PM

Mandatory for all fall student-athletes and at least one parent/guardian. We will open with a large group meeting, then break out into individual program meetings around the building.

Fall Athletics Information can be found HERE.

Questions? Contact the Naperville North Athletic Department. We are ready for a fantastic year — in our classrooms and in our extracurriculars.
