Hawk News3/7/2025Hendrickson High School

Message from Principal Grebb:

Spring has (unofficially) sprung at Hendrickson! We've made it to the eve of Spring Break Week, but now is not the time to check out—it’s time to stay focused and finish strong before the 3rd Nine Weeks wraps up on Friday, March 14th.

It’s been another fantastic week at Hendrickson!
SAT testing went smoothly, and our juniors showed up ready to give it their best.
Ms. Paula Dean (SPED EA) was recognized as PfISD Employee of the Month—a well-deserved honor!
Powerlifters are off to Regionals and then State.
Both soccer teams have secured playoff spots with two games to go.
Track athletes keep getting faster, and the team took home a victory at the Connally meet.

Some of the Hawk Band heads to Indianapolis for the Music for All Concert on Wednesday.

Choir heads to UIL next week.

As we head into the 4th quarter, ask yourself: How will I finish this year? Remember, it’s not just about how you start—it’s about how you finish.

Enjoy the weekend, rest up, and let’s bring our best for the final push before the break:

Tardies Tardies

Besides teaching academic content at Hendrickson, we pride our work on teaching life skills that students can take with them into the real world. One of those skills is being early or on time. We have reset tardies for the new year, but have noticed that more students than normal are showing up late for class, especially for the start of the day. We will be closely monitoring the list of students who show up late and assign the appropriate consequence. Please help us remind students that being early or on time is a huge life skill.

See Something, Say Something See Something, Say Something

The Anonymous Alerts is an anti-bullying and safety app reporting system that helps combat bullying and other negative activity in schools by empowering students to speak up. Social and peer pressure are some of the hardest obstacles for students to overcome. Students or parents can submit reports such as bullying, cyber bullying, depression, dating violence, drug or alcohol use, threats against the school, weapons on campus, and more.

The system allows for 1-way or 2-way anonymous encrypted communications between the submitters (students, parents, or community members) and District administration and/or school staff. Users of the system have the option to remain anonymous or reveal their identity when submitting a report.
