If your child will be attending Hellstern next year, you can use this link to sign up to receive "Hero Happenings!" in email. You can submit as many email addresses as you need. Think about all the family that may need this timely update.

Need to Know

This Tuesday, May 13th, please join us for our ScreenTime Parent Workshop. The presentation starts at 6pm. If you RSVP'd for a meal - dinner starts at 5:15pm.
All sixth grade students will go on a field trip to Crystal Bridges on May 19. Parents must submit a permission slip in order for their student to attend. Follow this link: Crystal Bridges Permission Form. If you have already completed the form, you do not need to submit it again. Thank you!
Mrs. Greenlee needs help with Chromebook check-in on May 15-16 and May 19-20. If you can assist, please sign up for a time slot at the Signup Genius.
Our state requires us to offer "adoption awareness" lessons to our students. Here you will find the materials we are provided for these lessons. We will offer the lessons on the last day of school in the library as an option during club time. Please talk with your student about whether or not you would like him/her to participate.

Do you ever ask your child about his/her day and you get a one word answer? or a shrug? Use these questions to find out more about your child's day!

Library - Did you turn in your library books?

Health 6 -What are some of the health hazards of smoking or vaping, and why are they important to learn about now?

Science 7 - What is something interesting you learned about Iceland?

Science 6 - How would you design an experiment this summer to test transfer of energy?

Social Studies 7 -What were some differences for life in the North vs. the South during the early 1800s?

Math 7 -What is the y-intercept?

Math 6 - Ask your student how the penny wars and a number line are related. (pennies are positives and silver coins and dollars are negatives)

Acc Math 7 - What are you MOST proud about learning or better understanding in ACC math this year?

ELA 6 - What was your favorite ELA lesson for the year?

ELA 7 - What do you think the climax or turning point of The Honest Truth will be?

Career Awareness 6 - Do you think you would enjoy a career in the Hospitality and Tourism cluster?

Keycode - What is your favorite Scratch project? Share with a parent.

Band - Which solo are you preparing for the Solo & Ensemble festival on May 16th?

Art 7 - What design did you/will you paint on your ceramic project?

Stagecraft - What musical are you researching for your Hair/Makeup/Costume design project?
