Orientation
We encourage all families to attend our upcoming Orientation Day—especially those with students entering preschool, kindergarten, or first grade. Orientation is a valuable opportunity for both students and parents/caregivers to get familiar with the school environment, meet their teachers, and ease any first-day jitters.
August 25th – Grade One orientation ~ 4pm
August 28th - PK/K Orientation ~ 10am & 1pm
During orientation, you’ll have a chance to:
Hear from the principal about our school community, vision, expectations, and how we partner with families
-
Tour the classroom and key areas of the school
-
Meet your child’s teacher and support staff
-
Learn about classroom routines and expectations
-
Ask questions and connect with other families
-
Help your child feel more confident and excited for the school year ahead
Taking part in orientation helps set a positive tone for the year and gives children a strong, comfortable start. We hope to see you there!
Teacher Assignments - Parent Portal
Classroom assignments will be available through the Parent Portal beginning August 15th. At that point, all families should have received information about how to access the portal. The Parent Portal is an essential tool you will use throughout your child’s educational journey. It provides access to important documents, including updates to home information, teacher assignments, and report cards. Please note that paper forms are not provided unless specifically requested.
If you have any questions or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact Mrs. Harris at (508) 943-4312 or via email at charris@dcrsd.org.
Please note: Classroom assignments are subject to change at any time. Should any changes occur before the start of the school year, families will be contacted individually.
School Supplies
While we do provide supply lists, please know that these items are not required. If you're able to contribute, we sincerely appreciate it. If not, that is absolutely okay—your child will still have everything they need.
