🦋The Principal's Office🌏
Dear MGA Families,
What a thrilling week it has been at Monarch Global Academy! Our students enjoyed a wonderful week of learning and even a bit of adventure. One of the highlights was watching our students participate in the Polar Bear Plunge. They took the plunge with excitement and came back looking refreshed, rejuvenated, and proud to support such a great cause.
Thank you for your continued patience and understanding as we navigate the challenges that come with snow and winter weather. Your flexibility has helped us keep students safe and learning.
I do want to remind everyone of a few important safety expectations during arrival:
Please do not park by the flagpoles.
Do not stop traffic to let students out in front of the bus loop.
Continue to use the car loop for drop‑off.
There is no need for students to exit vehicles and walk through cars. When everyone uses the car loop as designed, it moves quickly and safely for all families. We also understand the difficulties that snow creates, and we are taking that into account when it comes to tardies.
Thank you for your partnership in keeping our students safe while ensuring smooth school operations. We appreciate you and your continued support.
Warm Regards,
April Murphy
🛑Important Message Regarding Bus Service🛑
From the desk of The Driven Group....
As the transportation service provider for
The Monarch Schools in Laurel, Glen Burnie and Annapolis it is our responsibility to provide the daily transportation for the students of families that utilize this option. Though it is rewarding, there are many challenges to facilitating it. One of the most challenging part the responsibility has been to recruit, train and maintain staffing for the routes that has been required to complete the tasks. Over the past few years, we have had a decline in the number of qualified people available that meet the certification requirements of AA County which has caused some disruption in services for some of the routes.
We understand the inconvenience of having the transportation service not arriving on time to the designated stops and or having to do double back causing you as parents / guardians be late for your daily activities.
To that end we have established a transportation hotline to give real time information on bus statuses, problems and or concerns, this line is not to be used for making changes for the transportation of your student that attends the schools, you would still need to reach out to the administrations at the school the student attends for those services.
