Love is Messy
The other day, someone was bringing in an item for one of our children! I could see the angst in her eyes as we worked our way to find the class and deliver the key component for a classroom celebration! As we walked together, she admitted "I am just so afraid of messing up!"
I was in awe of what she reveled to me! She was bringing a handcrafted costume piece in the middle of the day! She is superwoman in my opinion! And in her mind, she worried about being late and messing up for the child she loves so much!
There is no love like the love we have for our children! Despite our deepest love, we are bound to mess up! Love is messy and our children are resilient! They do not need perfection, they need honesty, consistency, and boundaries! They need to know that we care and that we are human! They need to know they can count on us to set the sails for our ship and determine the direction as we move forward! They need to worry about kid stuff like bedtimes, chores, homework and playground games and have blind faith that we will handle the grown up stuff!
Love your children so much that they can see how messy and wonderful that love can be! Thank you for letting me love your children as well! It is an honor and a privilege to love them every day!
Katie Rexford, Principal

Parent Teacher Conferences - Friday February 13
Mark your calendar and plan on connecting with us on Friday February 13 between 8:00 and 4:00! We will be sharing conference links in the next few days! This is an opportunity to connect with your child's teachers and get a glimpse into how things are going at school! Our partnership is pivotal to your child's success!
We do ask that families only sign up for ONE conference slot for their child, as opposed to separate times for each parent. This allows us to have consistent conversations and offer enough slots for the other children in the class! Thank you for your help with this! If you need a virtual meeting, we can accommodate that request! Please just let your classroom teacher know!
We can't wait to see you!
