CHS: Important Update
January 13th, 2026
Centennial High School Families and Staff,
Today, high school students participated in a student-led walkout. As shared earlier, this was a non-school-sponsored activity that was fully organized and communicated by students exercising their First Amendment rights.
The school day continued as normal for students who did not participate and at no time was the safety of students in question. We appreciate the support of our law enforcement partners to help ensure the students’ safety.
Per the district’s attendance policy, students who left school during the instructional day without permission received an unexcused absence..
We are committed to maintaining student safety and ensuring that students are neither forced to participate or denied their right to free speech.
Please contact me with any questions. Thank you for your ongoing support of our school.
