East Sept. 12
Three Things to Know
Midview East T-shirts
Show your East pride with our Midview East t-shirt fundraiser! All proceeds will benefit our Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program, which encourages our students to be Ready, Responsible, and Respectful. More information can be found under the Events and Reminders section. Thank you for your support!
Fall MAP Testing
Each year, Midview students complete MAP assessments in the fall, winter, and spring. These assessments measure students’ understanding and growth over time, providing valuable data that helps our teachers better support each student’s learning needs. Next week, East students will take their Fall MAP Assessments in Math, ELA, and Science classes.
Final Forms & Immunizations
If you haven’t done so already, please log into your FinalForms account to review information, make any necessary changes, and sign off for the new school year. This includes verifying that your child's immunizations are current and that all required documentation is provided.
For safety reasons, students who have not met these requirements by Monday, September 22, will not be permitted to attend school until their forms and immunization records are up to date. For detailed information on immunization requirements, please refer to the Events & Reminders section below.

More on Immunizations
- All students must have their immunizations up to date and turned in by September 22. Any student who does not have proof of the required immunizations by this date will be excluded from school until the necessary documentation is provided, and their immunizations are current. Please review the attached flyer to see the required vaccinations as outlined by the Ohio Department of Health. Proof of immunizations can be emailed to Stacey Hassler (East School Nurse) at shassler@midviewk12.org, uploaded to Final Forms, or sent to school with your child. If you are unable to schedule an appointment with your child's primary care provider, please contact the Lorain County Public Health vaccine clinic at (440) 748-5304.

Mrs. Burns' 6th grade Social Studies
Ms. Burns' 6th graders kicked off their Patriot Day unit with a special lesson. Every student was given a small section of the American flag to color, then all the unique squares were assembled into an American flag. The finished flag is a great reminder that, much like the United States itself, we are all stronger when we come together as a unified whole.
As the class continues the Patriot Day unit they will focus on the importance of resilience and community. It is a wonderful way to honor the day, remember the events, and focus on the heroes.
