Please do not use the bus entrance between 7:00 a.m. and 8:15 a.m. or 3:00-3:45 p.m. Use the entrance across from the bank to drop students off, and please keep this one-way during these times.
Principal's Corner
Dear Parents and Community Members,
WOW! What a great first week back at school! It has been so nice having students back in the building. And let me tell you something - you have amazing kiddos! I don’t think I’ve ever received as many high-fives, fist bumps, or “good morning”s as I have this week. It has been such a pleasure getting to know your students over the past few days, and I’m looking forward to continuing getting to know them.
As you know, this year has come with some policy changes. Here are a few reminders about what has changed:
Students are not permitted to use or have cell phones on them. Phones should either be left at home, in the student’s car, or placed in the locked cell phone holder in the student’s 7th hour class.
Water bottles are permitted, but the bottle must be clear and contain only water.
So far, students have done really well with adjusting to these changes. Thank you for your help with reminding students of these changes and expectations.
Something else new for students this year is using Launch for all high school math courses. We have experienced some technical difficulties this week with getting Launch up and running for students. We have been in contact with tech support and these issues are being worked out. Thank you for your patience while we get everything up and running for students. I am confident that once all of the beginning of the year bugs are worked out, this program will work great for students.
If you ever have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me. My door is always open and I am always willing to help however I can. Have a wonderful weekend!
Sincerely,
Kyla Kirtley
Principal
Order your Spirit Wear by Sunday, 8/27!
The Back-to-School Bash was a big hit!
All of our K-6 classes received new math manipulatives to go with our new math series--6th grade has already put theirs to use!
I loved seeing the playground the first grade designed and shared with me--if only we could have a ferris wheel!
Some artwork from a few of our amazing students!
