The Weekly Update #2

Apologies for the disruption with our roof leaks as I appreciate the challenges this will have caused many of you. Our wonderful building needed some TLC but isn't doing too badly to say it is 149 years old. We do hope to host a big party to celebrate turning 150 so keep your eyes peeled for more information on this in the Spring Term.

• Sapphires and Diamonds parents please ensure you have given permission for the school trip coming up (Hull, 17th September) via Arbor.
• Please ensure PE kit is always in school all week.
• New after-school provision is now bookable on Arbor.
• Breakfast club can be booked on Arbor.

Knowledge organisers showing what your child will be learning this term are now on our website. These show what the children should know by the end of the term (half-termly for Pearls). This is a great opportunity for parents to support this learning at home.

Information about your child's class and the parent welcome presentations can also be found on your child's class page which can be accessed by clicking the buttons below.

Each half-term the children can earn reading rewards for reading at home or in our free reading school clubs. In school reading clubs are worth 3 reads each and can be booked via Arbor with the other clubs. There is a reading club on a Wednesday lunchtime too for those who cannot stay after school.

Reading reward levels for this half-term:

Bronze - 21 reads

Silver - 28 reads

Gold - 42 reads

We would love it if reads could be uploaded to Seesaw or Tapestry ideally as a video so we can hear your reading and get immersed in the book too. If you have any difficulties with this please see a member of your child's teaching team.

No specific events this week coming up just lots of fun learning as usual.
