To the TRIBE,
You're receiving this newsletter because I have some news to share and I want it to reach as many students and families as possible.
On Monday, I was approved to become a School Counselor at Mid Valley Secondary Center. That means that as of the end of the summer, I will no longer be working at Lakeland.
I know that this will likely come as a surprise to many of you, and I want you to know that this is not a decision that has been made easily. The process moved very quickly, but ultimately I believe it is the best opportunity for me and my family.
Please know that it has been an absolute joy to work with Lakeland students. I've worked as hard as I can to help your academic achievement, career development, and social/emotional growth since coming to the district in 2020. You have trusted me with your most challenging situations and with your biggest triumphs, and I will be forever grateful for that. You have been the reason that it's been easy to come to work for the past 5.5 years. Please know that even though I am stepping away from Lakeland, I will always be rooting for you in all that you do.
My biggest regret is that the timing of everything does not allow for a proper goodbye. I will be at the school on the following dates throughout the summer if anyone would like to come in to say goodbye, ask questions, or anything else. You can certainly continue to email me, but please feel free to make an appointment at the link below or just stop in. The dates that I will be here are:
July 16th, 7:00-2:00
July 17th, 7:00-2:00
August 4th, 7:00-2:00 (likely to be a schedule change day, keep an eye out for more info)
August 5th, 7:00-2:00 (likely to be a schedule change day, keep an eye out for more info)

My last official day at Lakeland will be August 22nd. I may be here another day or two before that, so feel free to email me if you'd like to set up a time to come in.
Thank you for all of your support and kindness over the years. Know that I will miss you all more than I can explain.
