ALTA SIERRA OCTOBER DANCE

Dear ASI Families,

We’re excited to host our Fall Dance on Thursday, October 29th from 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM on the outdoor tennis courts! This is a Dress-Up Dance, and while dressing up is encouraged, it’s completely optional. Please review the Dance Contract for full costume and dance guidelines.

🎟️ Ticket Information

• Pre-sale Tickets: $7.00 (available Monday at the Main Office Attendance Windows) Monday, October 26th - Wednesday, October 28th)
• At the Door: $10.00 (Thursday only — no pre-sale tickets on Thursday)
  Students must bring their ID card to enter through the south tennis court gates.

We’ll have three entrances:

• Students with pre-sold tickets
• 7th Grade Students with exact change will be allowed to enter first.
• 8th Grade Students with exact change will be allowed to enter first.
  
  

🚗 Student Drop-Off & Pick-Up

To prioritize student safety, Victory Lane will be closed to traffic during the dance.

Please use one of the following parking lots for drop-off and pick-up:

1. Basketball Court Lot off Peach Avenue
2. Staff Parking Lot between ASI & BHS (enter/exit on Teague Ave. near the Energy Academy)

At pick-up:

• Please be patient as all students will exit at once.
• Students may not walk home after dark, even if they live nearby — they must be picked up by a parent or guardian.
• Please make a right-hand turn when exiting either lot to help traffic flow.

👕 Dress Code & Costume Guidelines

All students must follow dress code. Dress code checks begin at 6:15 PM at the entrance.

Important reminders:

• Sweatshirts/jackets will be removed during checks — shirts underneath must be in dress code.
• Shorts must have a 5-inch inseam and be evenly hemmed.
• Skirts and dresses hem may not be shorter than 5 inches from top of knee cap and may be no shorter than mid-thigh
• Ripped clothing must have patches underneath (no visible skin).
• Students not in dress code may go home, change, and return before 8:00 PM.
• No entry after 8:00 PM.

Costume Rules:

• Costumes must meet dress code (nothing too short or revealing).
• No inflatable or oversized costumes.
• No violent or weapon-like props (swords, knives, bats, etc.).
• Face paint allowed on half of the face only
• No blood or body paint is allowed

🎒 Bags & Purses

• No purses, backpacks, or sports bags allowed (except for medical/hygiene needs).

Cell phones Phones used inappropriately will be held until the end of the dance.

• May be used at photo backdrops only.
• May be used for transportation after the dance.
• May be used to call parents for early pick-up at the gate only
• May NOT be used at the snack bar, dance floor or areas not identified above.

🎶 Fun & Food!

We’ll have:

• An awesome DJ 🎧
• Photo backdrops for pictures 📸
• Costume contests: Best Duo, Best Group, Most Creative, Scariest, and Cutest
• Snack Bar on the pool deck: Pizza, Panda Express, soda, water, and candy 🍕🥢🍬
• Food Trucks: Dippin Dots & Wetzel's Pretzels
• Tables for students to eat and hang out with friends

🕣 End of the Dance

The dance ends promptly at 8:30 PM.
Students may not leave early unless picked up by a parent or guardian at the gate.

We can’t wait for a fun and safe night with our students!
Many teachers, counselors, and administrators (in costume!) will be there to join the fun.
