Good afternoon Lakewood Cougar Families:

This is it! Our final parent message for the 2025-2026 school year. I cannot believe how quickly it went.

The Class of 2026 Graduation is on Friday, June 12th, at 7 pm in the LHS Stadium. You will need a ticket to attend. Please be sure to get here early for parking and seats. We are looking forward to celebrating our Seniors on this very special night!

Our last day of school is Tuesday, June 16th. Our students will attend each class for 30 minutes, then participate in field day activities, and be released at 11:15 am. The building will be locked after students leave so our staff can participate in the end of year celebrations.

I wanted to let you all know that our counselor, Heidi Klippert, is retiring this year. She will be missed tremendously. I am excited to announce that we have hired our new counselor, Marco Quezada. He will be joining us at the beginning of the school year and will support our students with last names that begin with L-Z.

We hope you all have a wonderful summer break and that everyone is able to rest and recharge!

See you on September 2, 2026, for our first day of the 2026-2027 school year.

**Stay tuned for important information regarding the first day of school schedule**

Sincerely,

Jeanette Grisham

Lakewood High School Principal

Free Narcan Distribution Event in Marysville on June 12 Free Narcan Distribution Event in Marysville on June 12

Community members are invited to attend a free Narcan distribution event on Friday, June 12th at 1pm located at Linc NW (1424 172nd St NE, Marysville, WA 98271). This event is a coordinated effort between the Stillaguamish Tribe of Indians and the United Lakewood Coalition, aimed at increasing access to life-saving resources in Snohomish County.

Narcan (naloxone) is a medication designed to rapidly reverse opioid overdoses and is safe, easy to administer, and effective in restoring breathing during an overdose emergency. With opioid-related overdoses continuing to impact families and communities across the region, expanding access to Narcan is a critical step in preventing unnecessary deaths and giving individuals a second chance at recovery.

This event reflects a shared commitment to community health, harm reduction, and saving lives, and an opportunity to learn how to recognize and respond to an overdose.
