Walt Disney
A Rewarding End to the Month
Honoring students and our building traditions to end October!
Costume Parade Day
Our annual Costume Parade was a fantastic way to wrap up our week on Friday! Our students and staff did an amazing job bringing the excitement and magic of the day to life. With the Pennsbury High School Marching Band leading the way, our school community was treated to a wonderful parade filled with smiles, laughter, and plenty of marching spirit!
A special thank you to all of our volunteers and homeroom parents for their efforts in helping students prepare for the parade and creating such wonderful classroom parties. Your time and dedication helped make the day a memorable one for our students!
One of my favorite moments of the day was hearing a student excitedly say, "You hired a marching band for us!" That comment brought a huge smile to my face and reminded me why these experiences are so special. It's moments like these that make Walt Disney Elementary such a magical place. Let's keep creating those memorable Disney moments that our students will carry with them for years to come!
Wishtree Assembly
What an amazing way to wrap up our One Book, One School reading adventure with Wishtree! We brought our students together for a special assembly to celebrate the story, reflect on memorable moments, and show their knowledge through interactive questions using hand signals to share their answers. The excitement and engagement throughout the event were wonderful to see! From the many views of our YouTube read-alouds to our weekly raffles and prizes, this event was a tremendous success in bringing our school community together through the joy of reading. The magic isn't over just yet! I look forward to seeing our students' wishes come to life as they decorate our very own Wishtree in the school lobby. A huge thank you to our reading specialists, Mrs. McAndrew, to our staff, and all of our Disney families for supporting this special experience. Events like these remind us of the power of reading to build connections and create memorable moments. I am already excited to see what we can bring to our families next year!
Dragon of the Month
We had the pleasure of celebrating our October Dragon of the Month recipients, recognizing students who demonstrated the important character trait of cooperative! It was wonderful to see the smiles, excitement, and pride on our students' faces as their names were called and they were recognized for the positive contributions they make to Disney each day. These celebrations are a great reminder of the importance of recognizing the character and kindness our students bring to our school community.
A huge thank you to Mrs. Kukulski for her efforts to organize these special assemblies! Her time, creativity, and dedication to highlighting our students are truly appreciated and help make these celebrations so memorable. We also want to thank our Flight Crew for their efforts in helping distribute recognition prizes to our students. Their involvement adds another special touch to the celebration and is a wonderful example of student leadership in action!
As we look ahead to November, we are excited to recognize our next group of Disney Dragons as we focus on problem-solving! We encourage all of our students to continue demonstrating these important character traits and finding ways to make Disney the best place to learn and grow. Keep up the great work, Dragons!

Harlem Wizard Tickets on Sale Now (See information below)
As we close out an incredible October and the first marking period, I want to take a moment to thank our students, staff, and families for making this month so memorable! We have had so many opportunities to come together, celebrate our students, and create lasting memories. These are the moments that make Walt Disney Elementary such a special place to learn and grow!
It is hard to believe we have already completed our first marking period! I am proud of all that our students have accomplished and grateful for the dedication of our staff and the continued support of our families. Together, we are building a school community filled with learning, connections, and a little Disney magic along the way.
As a reminder, there is no school for students on Monday or Tuesday. I hope everyone enjoys the extended break and has an opportunity to rest and recharge.
While we leave a memorable October behind, I am excited for all that November will bring! I look forward to another month of learning, growing, celebrating our students, and creating even more magical moments together.
Thank you for being part of our Disney family. Here's to an amazing November!

Items such as stuffed animals, balloons and other party favors are not permitted to be brought into school. Birthday invitations will only be distributed if there is an invitation for each child in the classroom.
Volunteer Clearances
All individuals interested in volunteering in the Pennsbury School District are required to have clearances on file in the office. This includes individuals that are interested in working at school events such as parties, field trips, classroom events, PTO events, etc. While events such as field trips do not occur until the middle to end of the school year, we encourage all parents/guardians to apply for their clearances immediately. Individuals that do not have clearances on file in the office can not be chosen as chaperones or volunteer at any other school function. Once you have obtained all required clearances, you must upload them into our volunteer tracker App Garden. If you have previously submitted clearances to the school and were an approved volunteer, you are still required to complete the Volunteer Affirmation Form. Individuals are not considered an approved volunteer until that form is submitted each year. Parents/guardians are highly encouraged to check their clearance expiration dates. We have several individuals that currently have expired clearances on file. For more information about required clearances click Volunteer Clearances.
