MCS Community Health & Wellness Day

This is FREE for all MCS Students. Join MCS for an exciting, in-person day packed with family fun and activities focused on health and wellness. They will assist you with everything you need to enroll your child in school - at no cost.

KINDERGARTEN READINESS ASSESSMENT

This is for all incoming kindergarten students. Our kindergarten readiness screening is an assessment given to young children before they enter kindergarten. It evaluates a child's basic skills, including language, math, motor skills, and social development.
It's a quick and simple screening to help us better support your child's success at Sawyer Road Elementary.
We are offering two screening sessions:
- 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM
- 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM

Registration is open for NEW students only.
Advanced registration is required within ten days of enrollment in Marietta City Schools if you anticipate needing either BSP or ASP at any time during the 2026-2027 school year.
A student ID number is required for registration. Please call the school at 770-429-9923 and ask for your child's student ID number.
Registration is only for new students.
**The registration deadline has passed for all returning students.
READY, SET, RIDE!

Every year, the MCS Transportation Department hosts a Ready, Set, Ride Day. Parents and Students can ride the bus. You will be picked up at your bus stop and ride along the route to Sawyer Road Elementary. The bus driver will then return you home to your bus stop.
The bus will pick you up at your regular bus stop and scheduled time, just like the first day of school. You can locate your child's bus route by visiting the MCS Bus Route Page.
FREE/REDUCED LUNCH APPLICATIONS
All New & Returning Students Should Fill Out the Application
Families that apply and are eligible could receive free or reduced-priced breakfast and lunch during the school year. We're asking that all SRE families submit an application through the LINQ Connect Free & Reduced Meal Application.
