Message from the Principal

Greetings Findley Families,

What a wonderful treat it was to see so many families today at the Winter Sing-a-Long and for the Winter Parties. This is always a very fun day, indeed.

I hope everyone has a safe and restful break. We will see you back here Tuesday, January 2!

Happy New Year! 🎆

With Gratitude,

Sherry Marsh, Ed.D.

Principal

Student Library Cards

BSD students are given a public library card through BSD’s partnership with Washington County Cooperative Library Services (WCCLS).

New students enrolled between October 2022 and October 2023 will receive cards in the mail from November-December. Students with cards from previous school years can continue to use them. The cards have been renewed.

With the Student Library Card, students can:

• Check out up to five print books or audiobooks from any WCCLS library without any overdue fines

• Borrow ebooks in Sora from BSD and the public library (directions)

• Access Homework Help

• Access additional digital content

For more details about these cards, please see the BSD webpage about the partnership. Public Library Locations: Map and Hours

The cafeteria needs your help....

Your child's ID number is also their lunch account number. They will use this for hot lunch, in the library to check out books and as 3rd - 5th graders will be part of their email address. (xxxxxx@BSD48.org). This number will be theirs throughout the years they spend in Beaverton School District. Parents should receive a paper copy of their child's ID number when they start school and it can also be found in ParentVue. Please practice this number with your child so they can memorize it and use it as needed throughout the school day. Thank You! 😊

Change of Go Home Plans?

We know that families may change how their student goes home some time. We definitely recommend that this not be a regular thing as it can be confusing for your student / teacher / office.

If you are changing how your student is going home, please make sure you contact the office. You may email fndly-communications@beaverton.k12.or.us or phone 503.356.2100.

Notifying the office allows them to know exactly where your student should be and helps us keep them safe!

Thank you for your help!
