To ensure student safety, Katy ISD screens online activity whenever students are logged into district accounts, whether utilizing a district-issued Chromebook or personal device. Katy ISD has recently switched its online screening filter from Content Keeper to GoGuardian Beacon services as part of our school’s broader district device screening process.
Katy ISD Partners in Education Food for Families Campaign
Kay ISD's Partners in Education invites you to bring hope to families in need this holiday season through our Food for Families campaign. Katy ISD campuses identify students in need, and with support from our community, Partners in Education provides grocery gift cards and a heartfelt note. Each gift is personally delivered by a campus staff member, reminding students that their Katy ISD family cares.
Every contribution makes a difference. Please donate by December 10 through Katy ISD Pay "N" Go or by check payable to "Katy ISD Food for Families" mailed to Partners in Education, Katy ISD ESC, 6301 South Stadium Lane, Katy, TX 77494

2026 Close-Up Trip for 7th and 8th Grade Students!
Dear 7th and 8th Grade Parents and Guardians,
Your 7th or 8th grade student is invited to join us on the 2026 Close Up Trip! Close Up is a non-profit organization that runs historical student trips all over the country and has been partnered with Katy ISD for over 20 years with their Founding of a Nation Program.
This program allows our students to experience firsthand the places and history behind some of the nation's most iconic places and people, including Williamsburg, Mt. Vernon, Washington, D.C., and Philadelphia.
It is a fun and engaging experience for our students that supports what they learn in 8th grade U.S. History!
This year’s trip will take place May 25-29, 2026. This program is only for Katy ISD 7th and 8th grade students and is capped at the first 250 students in Katy ISD who submit their deposit to save their spot for this awesome trip. Deposits are due by October 30th. This year is the first time the trip has been open to both 7th and 8th graders, so spots may fill up fast!
Attached is a program overview, and more information can be found on their website at www.CloseUp.org .
Please contact the campus sponsor, Alyssa Sager, for additional information and to sign up your student. Her email is AlyssaRSager@katyisd.org.
We hope that you will consider allowing your student to participate in this trip!

Dear families,
We’re thrilled to share that we’re heading to the Galápagos Islands in Summer 2027, and we’d love for your student to join us!
This is an incredible opportunity for students to explore new places, experience different cultures, and gain lifelong skills like independence and confidence. I’ll be sharing all the details, including what we’ll see and do, hands-on learning activities, academic opportunities, trip costs, and how to secure a spot at our informational meeting.
👉 RSVP here to join us: https://rsvp.eftours.com/7actv7u
We’ll also open enrollment during the meeting—spots are limited, and I would love to help you secure this experience for your child.
In the meantime, please visit EF’s website to get answers to common parent questions. EF Tours is our trusted travel partner, and they have 60 years of experience helping students explore the world safely and affordably.
I hope to see you there and look forward to sharing how this trip can be a powerful and unforgettable chapter in your child’s life!
