New Horizon Christian School

Good evening-

This newsletter is where you can find information about the upcoming week and anything that may be happening in the future.

During this week where we spend time reflecting on things we are thankful for, I want to say thank you to all of our families for entrusting NHCS to not only educate your child(ren) but to help them along with their spiritual journey. We consider it a blessing and privilege, and it is something we do not take for granted.

If you ever have any questions, comments, or concerns don't hesitate to reach out. My contact information is below. If you'd like to reach me, you can email me at gmalekovic@nhcscrusaders.org or 618-533-6910.

It's a great time to be a Crusader!

Blessings and have a wonderful week,

Mrs. Malekovic

The Bible TEACHES US

The Bible CORRECTS US

The Bible PREPARES US

The Bible EQUIPS US

"All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work."

2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NLT)

It is the Christmas Season and here at New Horizon we love to be able to give back in some capacity. For many years, we have participated in Operation Christmas Child and have been able to send thousands of shoe boxes to children in need. Last year, we were able to bless many families in our communities because of your generosity with the giving of items for the blessing baskets.

We are planning on making “Blessing Baskets" again this year. Your child will receive a letter home tomorrow stating the theme of their class baskets and some suggested purchases.

You will have the opportunity to contribute to the baskets either financially and/or by purchasing items. PLEASE know you do not have to participate.

Each class will create several of the same themed baskets. Each basket will have scriptures enclosed in it as well as a special project from the class that created it. All items are due to NHCS by Wednesday, December 3rd to your child’s teacher or the office. Baskets will be distributed that following week to our local churches to be shared with people in their congregations or who are in need of a Christmas Blessing.

We are super excited to see this happen again! If you know of someone who could use a blessing basket, please reach out to me.

The doors to chapel on Fridays will be unlocked from 8:15-8:30. This will allow us to ensure the safety of everyone entering the building. If you arrive to chapel after 8:30, there will be a number you can text to gain entry to the building. Thanks for your understanding.
