In 1980, U.S. President Jimmy Carter declared the week of March 8 National Women's History Week, urging everyone to participate. According to Carter, "too often the women were unsung and sometimes their contributions went unnoticed. But the achievements, leadership, courage, strength, and love of the women who build America was as vital as that of the men whose names we know so well."

The week long event officially became a month-long one in 1987 when Congress passed a resolution designating March as Women's History Month. Each year there is a theme and this year it is, "Women Who Advocate for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion".

Here are some book titles about impactful and inspirational historic and modern-day women, some are well-known, some are not, but all of them have made an important mark on the world!

If your child will be five years of age by September 2, 2024, they are eligible for kindergarten. We are having a special, "Wildcat Welcome" and we'd love for you to join us! The event is on March 6th at the Primary School and will be open-house style from 5:00-6:30. This is for incoming kindergarten students and their families. We hope you can attend!

Just a reminder that we have an early release on Wednesday, March 6th for School Improvement activities. Students will be released from Primary at 10:40 a.m. For our EC/WELE students, only AM attends. PM will not be in session.

Thank you for helping us reach 20%! But, we would love to have all of our families weigh in on how we're doing as a school. We want to be the best we can be and your feedback helps us know what we're doing right and areas for growth.
