MUSTANG SPOTLIGHT - JULIE FADNEHOLZ, SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST AT CHAPMAN ELEMENTARY AND EARLY LEARNING PRESCHOOL
Miss Julie Fadenholz is a School Psychologist at Chapman Elementary and our Early Learning Preschool. Miss Fadenholz has worked in our District for four years and has also been part of the staff at Surrarrer Elementary and Strongsville High School. Her undergraduate degree is from Ohio University and she also earned her graduate degree from John Carroll University.
“My favorite part of working with our students is forming positive relationships with them and helping each student realize their potential to achieve their goals. Every child has a chance to make a difference in the world, and I feel so honored to be a part of their journey in helping them embrace their individual strengths. Nothing beats the feeling of seeing a student overcome a challenge they have been enduring, and I strive to make my office a comfortable place for all students to visit if they need support with something.”
“The best part of being a School Psychologist is seeing students grow academically, behaviorally, and socially. I really enjoy painting a portrait of a student for the school team by reflecting on their background history, intervention progress, and information provided by their teachers. At Strongsville City Schools, we are fortunate to have teachers who are knowledgeable and passionate about providing interventions to students both behaviorally and academically. Through the MTSS process, we can track student progress and determine if a strategy is effective in helping a student make progress toward a learning goal. I love the problem-solving aspect of my job when it comes to interpreting student intervention data and determining the effectiveness of an intervention for a student. The best days at work occur when we have a team meeting, and a parent can clearly see that their child is making gains either academically or behaviorally on a skill that may have previously been considered unattainable. It truly does take a village to raise children, and I feel so lucky to have a voice at the table when it comes to making decisions for our students.”
Thank you Miss Fadenholz for being a part of the positive growth and development of our students and Chapman and at the Preschool! #ModelMustang

In addition to our upcoming productions, we are pleased to announce that we have been instrumental in supporting the establishment of a drama club program at Strongsville Middle School. The club will be announcing its first production in the next couple of weeks.
Further exciting news is that SCT will sponsor a summer youth theater program under the direction of Liz Jones and Brenton Cochran. Details will be shared soon on the SCT website and Facebook page.
Performances of "Love Letters" will be featured at the SHS Little Theater on February 15-16 & 22-23. Saturday evening performance is at 8 pm; Sunday at 2 pm. Click HERE for the event flyer. "Love Letters" was the very first play that SCT performed back in 1995. We felt it fitting that we bring it back to begin our 30th year celebration. Our spring production is "Barbecuing Hamlet," a delightful farce of a community theater dealing with putting on the famous Shakespearean tragedy; however, they run into several "tragedies " of their own. Of course, the show must go on! We think you will be highly entertained by both of these special offerings as we kick off our 30th year.
