Introducing Beanstack — Our New Reading Adventure!
East Cubs are about to embark on a brand-new reading journey with Beanstack, an engaging program that helps students track their reading, celebrate milestones, and most importantly—grow their love of books!
With Beanstack, every minute spent reading counts. Whether your Cub is diving into a favorite picture book, exploring nonfiction, flipping through a graphic novel, or reading an article online, it all adds up!
As students log their reading, they’ll:
🏅 Earn fun digital badges for reaching reading goals
📖 Keep a virtual bookshelf of the books they’ve read
🔥 Build reading streaks and cheer on classmates through friendly challenges
Our goal is simple—to make reading fun and help our Cubs see themselves as readers who grow stronger every day.
Students can access Beanstack easily through their school devices, and families can join the fun at home by downloading the Beanstack app from the App Store or Google Play.
Let’s make reading a daily adventure, East Cubs—one page at a time!
Keep reading and stay curious, Cubs! 🐾
11/21 = Popcorn Friday!

KIBSD Impact Maker
Our very own Ms. Christine won the impact maker award this month!
Here are the kind things said in her nominations...
"SHE’S THE KIND OF PERSON WHO WORKS HARD WITHOUT MAKING BIG FUSS ABOUT IT.
ALWAYS CALM, ALWAYS CARING, LIKE THE QUIET HERO OF THE TEAM."
"Ms. Christine isn’t just kind and genuine, you can tell she was born to teach.
Her passion shines through in everything she does.She doesn’t just go through the motions;
she makes sure her students are actually learning (and enjoying it too).
She’s caring, compassionate, and somehow always knows just what each student needs."
"Christine was very supportive of the speech team during our staffing shortages.
She helped bring students to sessions and run technology. We can not thank her enough!!"
-Caring Cubs Awards-
We love celebrating our Caring Cubs Friday prize winners!
Wow Cards!
Ms. Jenny gave out her first WOW cards of the year. :)
Wow cards recognize extra helpful students that are on task and working hard in gym.
Good job Ilyana and Elora from Mr. Whiteside's class!

Nurse Notes
Be sure to send boots, coats and cold weather items every day.
East Cubs go outside for recess no matter the weather, so help them be prepared.
(We will stay indoors if it is extremely cold/icy/windy.)
On that note...
The nurse's office could use donations of gently used (or new) gloves,
stretchy pants like sweats and leggings in K-3rd grade sizes.
Donations can be dropped off in the front office.
Thank you!
Come Volunteer at East!
