Dear Parents / Carers,
The week has flown by, with lots of great things happening both in and out of school. On Wednesday, Thunberg class spent an exciting day at Skipton Castle finding out all about this impressive building in the morning, and taking photographs and drawing sketches in the afternoon. Pankhurst class took part in a writing workshop with a visiting writer on Thursday, that involved them using performance and poetry to create some fantastic pieces of work. The adults were hugely impressed with the children's creativity and enthusiasm.
The highlight of the week in Attenborough class had to be the letter they received from Sir David Attenborough. The children had written to him with some questions they were keen to find the answers to. To their delight, he wrote back within a few days to share his answers! He said he was very proud that their class was named after him.
Next week, year 6 will be heading off to spend 4 nights at the Peat Rigg Oudoor Activity Centre. They are all very excited about their week away, and we are looking forward to hearing all about the adventures they will have there.
Have a lovely weekend.

Forest School Items Request
As a school we are looking to further develop our Forest School area to provide new opportunities for the children. We were wondering if anyone has any of the following that you no longer require and would be happy to donate to the school:
- Old guttering of any length or style (Half round or full pipes)
- Wood Stumps
- Large logs (for sitting around the fire)
- Old tarpaulins (doesn't matter if the odd hole in it, it will be for den building)
If so, please could you contact the school or come and speak to Mr Symes (Year 4) before or after school. Mr Symes will be happy to come and collect if you are unable to get it to school
Thank you for your ongoing support.
