Principal Update

Bears,

I hope everyone had a great weekend. Here’s this week’s newsletter. We have several updates, so please review them as a family. https://app.smore.com/n/twaeg

  • Our first NC Check-In (ELA) is this Tuesday, 10/20/26! Please make sure your child gets a good night’s sleep and arrives on time. Remember, our schedule changes on testing days: the entire school tests at once, so early check-outs will not be available until testing is complete. Testing day schedule: https://docs.google.com/document/d/19W6gQjV0neFXIS4UP-rp2hHZwjPKqnl5DUX_VPXT-j0/edit?tab=t.0
  • STEAM NIGHT is coming up on November 2, from 5-6:30! Mark your calendars, and explore science, technology, engineering, art, and math with your student. More details are in the newsletter, and we encourage your entire family to attend!
  • Spirit Week is next week, and our very own Bears picked the themes! We’ll jump-start the week with UNITY Day on Wednesday by wearing orange! Next week's Spirit Week is listed below!
    • Too tired Tuesday - wear PJs
    • Twinning Wednesday - Dress the same as your besties!
    • Thriller Thursday - Break out those costumes(please be sure they meet rules listed below)
    • Freaky Friday - Student/teacher swap!
  • 7th graders head out on their first of four CLDA trips this Thursday, 10/22! Remember, students represent Trask in the community and are expected to be respectful, responsible, and safe at all times. Students who do not meet these expectations may not attend future trips, and they will face consequences at school.
  • Quarter 1 ends this Friday, 10/23! We will not accept work after Friday. Please check in with your child about any missing or unfinished assignments and help them avoid waiting until the last minute, so our teachers have time to grade everything.
  • Our final PTA Night at Crossfire is this Friday night, 10/23! Come out and support our PTA. See the newsletter for more information.
  • Lastly, Monday, 10/26, is a teacher workday, so students will not have school.

Have a great week!

Ms. Clark

Spirit Week is Coming! October 27–30

Our homerooms voted and Spirit Week is officially on! Help your student show their Bear pride with these four themes:

Too Tired Tuesday (Oct. 27): Students can roll out of bed and come to school in their comfiest pajamas. Slippers are welcome, but please leave blankets at home and make sure PJs are school appropriate.

Twinsday Wednesday (Oct. 28): Students can match outfits with a friend, a group, or even a teacher. Seeing double is the goal!

Thriller Thursday (Oct. 29): Students may wear their Halloween costumes. To keep the day safe and fun for everyone, please no masks, face paint, toy weapons, gory costumes, or inflatables. Costumes must follow the school dress code.

Freaky Friday (Oct. 30): Students dress like teachers, and teachers dress like students! A lanyard and a coffee mug go a long way. We ask that students keep it kind and not dress up as one specific teacher.

Participation is optional, and no one needs to buy anything new. Things from around the house work great! The school dress code still applies every day. When in doubt, leave it out.

Thanks for helping make this a fun week. Go Bears!
