Dear Falcon Families,

Thank you for joining us for Read with a Loved One this past Friday. It is such a great morning of family reading and we are loving having families on campus once a month for this event!

Our PTA Movie Night is this Friday night! Families will need to bring their beach chairs and blankets and are welcome to bring in your own dinner. PTA will have popcorn and water. The MPR gate (the one we use for The Lab also) will be open at 6:00 pm and the movie will begin at approximately 6:30 pm. We are showing K Pop Demon Hunters. See you there!

Mark your calendars, our Spring Conference week is scheduled for the week of March 9th - March 13th. ALL students will be dismissed at 1:15 pm every day during conference week. Please reach out to your teacher, if they have not already contacted you, if you would like to meet for a conference.

Spring Break is this month! March 16th-20th. School will resume for students on Monday, March 23rd.

New student registration has begun for all families living in our Fern Drive boundaries. If you have a student who will be school age in the fall, please register now! Registration is online. Please call the school office if you have questions.

Our school production of Seussical is this Wednesday evening at 6:00 pm. Cast members will bring their tickets home on Monday. Break a leg, Falcons!

We want to wish 6 qualifying members of our Speech and Debate Team the best of luck as they compete this Saturday, March 7th, in our district tournament at Ladera Vista JH! Good luck Falcons, you make us proud!

Finally, our final Saturday School session of the year is this Saturday, March 7th. Students in K-6 with an absence may attend to recover the missed day. Please RSVP with the invitation sent home or you can use this google form as well. Students who attend will receive breakfast and lunch, as well as a popsicle!

We are excited for our final Lunch with a Loved One event on Friday, March 13th. Families are invited to join our Falcons for lunch from 12-1 pm on our blacktop and field. Please plan to bring your beach chairs, blankets and lunches to enjoy lunch. Students will head back to class at 1:00 pm to be dismissed by their teacher at our 1:15 pm dismissal. This is at the end of our Parent Conference week and also the Friday before Spring Break. Jersey Mike's and Panda Express are partnering with us for a dining for dollars, donating money back to our PTA. Use the flyers below to participate.

Dear Families,

We are excited to announce that registration for the Encore Summer Camp is now open!

Encore Summer Camp is open to all current Fullerton School District students in grades TK–6 for the 2025–2026 school year. Summer camp is free of charge, and both breakfast and lunch will be provided daily. Registration begins February 24 and closes on April 15. Students must be registered by the April 15 deadline in order to attend.

Summer camp locations have been pre-determined based on each student’s school of attendance. Transportation will be available both morning and afternoon for students whose school site is not hosting a summer camp program. Please see the attached flyer for dates, times, and location.

We look forward to a fun and enriching summer with our students!

Attendance is key in student achievement and success at school.

Thank you for ensuring your Falcon attends school on time every day that they are healthy.

If your child will be absent, please use this google form to clear their absence. You may also call the school attendance line to clear an absence. Independent Study MUST be requested on THE DAY of the absence. For vacations, parents must request Independent Study TWO weeks before the absence.

Each week we hold a raffle for class attendance. Each day, if the class has 100% attendance, the teacher sends a raffle coupon up to the office. On Friday's we draw a primary and upper grade class winner. The winning class receives 3 class Gotcha's, a 10 minute extra recess and has the Falcon mascot in their room for the week.

As we head into the winter months, students are often home ill. If your child is absent, you can request Independent Study to make up the absence on their attendance. You MUST request it on the first day of the absence. There is a spot on the google attendance form to request this. If your child is absent, you MUST clear their attendance with either the ABSENCE google form or a call to our office attendance line so that the absence does not become a truancy. TY!

We have many Lost & Found items. Please have your students check for items that belong to them. Our L&F is set up right outside our MPR. Please take some time at our upcoming Movie Night and Lunch with a Loved One to check for items that belong to you. All items will be donated at Spring Break.

Lunch and breakfast will continue to be free for all students daily. We will still do a lunch count daily so please discuss with your student the importance to take a correct lunch count. Some students bring a lunch to school and then at lunchtime go get a school lunch. This results in some lunch shortages of the choice meal that day. Lunch options are still available and all children will be fed but often when this happens, the "lunch of the day" runs out. Please review with students the importance of this an accurate lunch count.

📚Read With A Loved One dates for the remainder of the year: 📚

An important reminder to drive SLOWLY and SAFELY through our parking lot and on Fern Drive. Cars are driving too fast through our parking lot and students are also exiting cars in the drive through lane. This is not safe and we need to follow our drop off/pick up protocols. Students are only permitted to exit their car on the SIDEWALK side of their car in the drop off lane, NOT the drive-through lane. A reminder that adults are not permitted to exit the car. Students should be ready to exit when their car pulls into the drop off lane. As cars pull away, please be sure you are driving SLOWLY and cautiously. Drive slowly on Pico and Fern Drive as well. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Our students, families and staff should be safe at all times.

Please plan to join us for our family Movie Night on March 6th. PTA will be selling popcorn and water. You are welcome to bring a picnic dinner along with your beach chairs and blankets. We are looking forward to a fun evening together!
