Family Vacations/Personal Convenience

Family vacations taken during the school days of attendance are discouraged. It is impossible for a student to make up all the instruction given by teachers during the missed class time. If a vacation must be taken during attendance days, parents are REQUIRED to complete a Personal Convenience Absence Form one week PRIOR to the absence (not involving illness or funerals.) This form can be obtained in the school office or on the SMS website here.

Teachers will NOT give work in advance for vacations. Teachers will issue a record of assignments missed upon return from vacation. Students will have as many days as there were absent to turn in work unless other arrangements have been made.

In keeping with our obligations as Catholics, Mr. Eckel has requested that school staff and teachers try to refrain from sending work emails on Sundays. Sundays are when we should be disciplined about worshiping God and spending time with our families. We extend this request to our school families as well for the same reason. Please, try to respect the spiritual life our staff and teachers by refraining from emailing on Sundays, as we will try to extend this to you and your family as well. In the event that we must compose emails on Sundays, we ask that you schedule the send time for Monday morning.

Please Note: The Sunday gradebook notification emails are an automatic system generated email out of FACTS. We are unable to change what day of the week those emails are generated/sent.

Picture Day is coming up on September 16th. P3 students and those absent will be photographed on retake day on October 29th.

Academy of Angel students will wear an outfit of their choice.

K-8 students wear their uniforms.

Paper order forms will be coming home soon. You can also order online at here with the code 0117MJF. Order before Picture Day to receive free shipping to the school.

In the event of a school delay or cancellation, we will send a parent alert message and an email from FACTS. We also recommend signing up for text message alerts through WFIN here. We will also update our facebook page.

If we have a 2 hour delay, school will begin promptly at 10 AM. If a delay occurs on a mass day, mass will be cancelled. For our preschool students (not KR), class will begin at 10:30 and end at Noon.

For those that ordered the 2024-2025 yearbooks, they are available for pick up in the school office.

Sports Physicals

All students who plan to play a sport at St. Michael School will need a sports physical. Please take all paper work to be signed by a physician and then upload to Final Forms. Physicals must be completed before the athlete will be able to begin practices or play in games with the team.

Shopping for Dollars

Shopping for Dollars orders can be placed online, through the RaiseRight app, or through school. School orders are placed on the second and fourth MONDAYS of the month August - May. Order are usually here for distribution on Thursdays.
