Commitment to Excellence, the Cavalier Way! Commitment to Excellence, the Cavalier Way!

Principal's Message

Welcome Back Cavalier Families!

As we begin a new school year, I am excited to welcome our students and families back to Calvert High School. Last year, we continued to make meaningful progress in student achievement, strengthened our positive and safe school climate, and continued building a school community where students feel welcomed, connected, and valued. These accomplishments are the result of the hard work and dedication of our students, staff and families.

This year, we will build on those successes by maintaining high expectations, providing strong academic support for all students, and continuing to foster a culture of respect, belonging, and school pride. Our commitment remains the same: ensuring every student feels safe, supported, challenged, and empowered to reach their full potential at Calvert High.

We are excited for the opportunities ahead and look forward to partnering with you for another great year at Calvert High School.

Update: Student Schedules

This year, our bell schedule includes a change designed to better support student success. Lunch periods are adjusted from 45 minutes to 30 minutes. While students will have a slightly shorter lunch, they will gain more structured time during the school day which reduces downtime and helps them remain engaged, connected, and focused on learning. This adjustment reflects our continued commitment to maximizing instructional opportunities and ensuring every student has the time and support needed to be successful at Calvert High School. CAV Time remains in our schedule and will continue to provide students with opportunities during that block for academic support, intervention, enrichment, makeup work, and positive connections during the school day.
