MTSS Lead Weekly Updates
Week of February 16, 2026

Classroom Essentials-Do you have them posted?
The Greatness in the Gaps Walkthroughs are well underway for the 25-26SY and the current trend is that Classroom Essentials (lesson plan/group information) are not posted when intervention is observed. This is a reminder that it is an essential piece of information in that the deficit area is identified and the student groups with tier as well so when monitoring intervention the monitor knows that the students are supposed to be receiving support in fluency versus comprehension.
If you need a template, there is one in the Master Templates folder in On Target for Success SharePoint, but you are welcome to use a school specific template.
ILP-D
There are many ILP-Ds that are coming up for renewal this month. Please refer to the video from Jessica Dainty if you are not familiar with the renewal or exit process or plan to join one of the open office hours where a member of the team can assist. Once the plan turns red it is no longer valid and you have to begin all over once you exit the plan.
ILP-D Technical Manual
Recently TDOE shared that they updated the ILP-D Technical Manual which is very supportive of what to click and enter to build an ILP-D. You can access the document in TNPulse Resource Library under UserGuides/Manuals or access a copy in the TDOE Characteristics of Dyslexia folder in On Target for Success.
TNPulse
Sheila Burke will be available this Wednesday for drop-in support for Tier 2/3 Plans if you are having difficulties making updates, etc. If you need ILPD support, you will need to join the MSCS Open Office Hours as Sheila does not support ILPDs.
Reading Horizons
Shatamara Davis and Francine Lawson will be visiting classrooms the week of March 2-5, but will also be offering optional professional learning and coaching supports at Germantown Elementary School on March 3, 4, and 5 by sign-up. You can select a session that meets your needs, but don't wait as space is limited.
iReady MOY
The Regional iReady Middle of Year (MOY) Data Presentations will be held this week and many of you will sit along with your school leaders as you dig into your school data. All MOY decks will be available in On Target for Success SharePoint iReady folder for your review.
Last week in District Weekly (and previously in MTSS Lead Weekly Updates) there was a post for student trackers. I highly recommend that some type of tracking system be used as we seek to make the most of instructional time with students as we help them to grow.
February New MTSS Lead Huddle
The February New MTSS Lead Huddle will review ILP-D plans and speak to getting started as well as monitoring those plans. MTSS Leads years 0-3 should plan to join one of the sessions.
TN Tiered Support Resource Center
TN Tiered Support Resource Center offers a variety of learning modules, and templates that can be used to support MTSS in schools. Topics vary from data-based decision making, to challenging behavior, to instructional coherence. If you're looking for more asynchronous support, you can access it here.
