π Morrow's Message π
Hello East Cubs families,
We are excited to celebrate Halloween at school this week, and we have a few reminders to help ensure the day is fun, safe, and successful for all of our students.
π Costume Expectations
Please help your child follow these guidelines:
Students may wear costumes to school.
Masks may be worn during the parade only and must be removed before and after.
No toy weapons of any kind (including plastic swords, daggers, or toy guns).
Costumes should be school-appropriate (no excessive gore or scary props).
Costumes must allow students to see, move, sit, and learn comfortably throughout the day.
Our Halloween parade will begin at 1:00 PM, and teachers will share additional details as we approach the event.
We also want to extend a big thank you to all the families who joined us for Saturdayβs SpookFest PTA event. It was wonderful to see so many students and families enjoying the festivities together. We truly appreciate our PTA volunteers and the energy they bring to our school community, and we look forward to more fun events in the future!
Lastly, a reminder that East is a nut-free school. We have recently noticed nut products, including candies like Reeseβs peanut butter cups, being brought to school. Because we have students with severe nut allergies, even small exposures can be dangerous. With Halloween treats coming in this week, we ask families to be especially vigilant when packing food, snacks, or candy to help us keep all of our Cubs safe.
Thank you for your attention to these reminders and for your continued partnership. We are grateful for our supportive and caring East Cubs community!
Warmly,
Ms. Audra Morrow
Principal, East Elementary πΎ

Annual Federal Impact Aide Forms
Federal Impact Aide Forms will be coming home with your student shortly.
Please complete, sign and return these forms to school before November 10th.
Have questions or need help with your form?
Call us at 907-486-7492 or swing by the office.
Thank you for helping us get these required forms submitted.
What are these forms anyway?
Impact Aid was designed to assist school districts that have lost property tax revenue due to the presence of tax-exempt Federal property or if the district has experienced
increased expenditures due to the enrollment of federally connected children.
The survey is the way the district files its claim each year.
We receive these federal grant funds to operate
and maintain our schools and enrich our school programs.
The first class to have all forms completed and returned to school gets a popsicle party!
Thank you PTA and Volunteers!
Spook Fest was a Blast!

The Giving Season...
We know money is tight right now and the holidays bring even more need,
but if you are looking for a meaningful way to give this season,
we are holding a school lunch balance drive through the end of the year.
Your dollars and cents will not go to waste.
%100 will go to supporting families by lightening the load of school lunch debt.
We of course accept donations throughout the whole school year,
and we can take cash or check in the office at any time. β€οΈ
Thank you for supporting our East school community in all ways, big and small.
