May Days Are Busy Days

Our May calendar is packed! Busy days and busy nights, filled with fun and learning. We hope your family can join in all the memory-making, end of another school year moments offered.

We kicked the month off by celebrating our teachers and school staff. The phrase "teachers are the only professionals who lose sleep over other people's children" is a popular sentiment highlighting the intense emotional, mental, and personal dedication educators feel regarding their students' well-being, safety, and academic success. While often cited, it underscores the deep, often invisible, care they carry outside of school hours. The Memorial Staff exemplifies this. They want only the best for your children and strive to give that to them everyday here at school and beyond.

A special thank you to the HSA for their organization and fundraising this year. Through family participation in the HSA fundraisers, the field trips, and many other activities are being fully funded by the monies raised. Way to go Memorial Community!

As the weather becomes warmer please dress your child accordingly. Sunscreen should be applied at home. We do not apply sunscreen here at school, please do not send it with your student. If you have concerns please call Nurse Lawrence. Hats are welcome for recess and outside time.

Please keep in mind the gym is not air-conditioned.
