Christmas Special Student Shout Outs
We are currently collecting 'shout outs' for students in our Christmas Special.
A Shout Out is a brief message of encouragement, support, and love from families, which will be printed in the program, creating a lasting keepsake and souvenir for your young actor. Additionally, this offers a wonderful opportunity for out-of-town relatives to express their support if they are unable to attend in person.
Each Shout Out is priced at $15, and all proceeds will go towards supporting St. John's drama programs.
Shouts Outs close at 12noon on November 22, 2024.
News from this Week
5th Grade Wax Museum
We had a special visit from Neil Armstrong, Queen Elizabeth I, Molly Brown and many more this week!
Leaf Raking: Middle School Service Project
On Thursday, our middle school students visited homes around nearby Denver to clean the yards and rake leaves. This was both a wonderful gift to the community, and a valuable lesson in the life of service. Thanks Mrs. Owens and the middle school team for making this possible.
Veterans Day Salute
We had a special opportunity for our students in 3rd through 8th grades to honor and learn from a local hero on Veteran’s Day. A special Military speaker joined us for a memorable speaking engagement.
This U.S. Air Force Colonel brought a wealth of experience and inspiring stories from his time in the service. The event deepen our students' understanding of courage, dedication, and sacrifice.
We are thankful for all those in our community who served in our Military, past and present. We Salute You!
Notes
Lost & Found
As we approach the festive season, our Lost and Found rack and bins have reached their full capacity. We kindly ask for your assistance in reclaiming any lost articles of clothing, socks, gloves, sunglasses, and water bottles that may belong to your child(ren).
We understand that children may not always remember what belongs to them, so your help in identifying these items would be greatly appreciated. To make this process easier, the Lost and Found rack will be placed outside during drop-off and pick-up times.
Please note that any items not claimed by Friday, November 22nd, will be donated to a local shelter, just in time for Thanksgiving. This is a wonderful opportunity to ensure these items find a new home where they are needed.
Thank you for your cooperation and support. We look forward to your help in clearing out the Lost and Found and making a positive impact in our community.
Tickets are still available for our St. John's School Christmas Special: December 17 and 18, 2024
Did you know the Christmas in Harmony programs have designated space for you to give a "shout out" to your favorite student(s)?
We are excited to invite you to our long-awaited combined Christmas celebration: Christmas in Harmony. Students from our Kindergarten through Fifth Grade classes will fill the air with joyful music, under the direction of Mrs. Mari Koester and Mrs. Nissa Newsome. Adding to the festive spirit, our middle school drama class, led by Dr. Erica Flesher and Mr. Matthew Walton, and our Handbells Elective, led by Miss Krystal Thompson, will present a beautiful dramatization of the nativity story, bringing the Gospel to life in a moving and memorable way. This joyful celebration will feature many beloved Christian songs, giving you the chance to sing along to cherished carols and reflect on the journey of Joseph and Mary, and the birth of Jesus.
With most of our school participating, we are offering two performances:
- Tuesday, December 17, 6:30 pm
- Wednesday, December 18, 9:15 am
Both shows will require complimentary tickets for entry. If possible, we kindly ask that those with more flexible schedules, including grandparents, consider attending the Wednesday morning presentation. This will help ensure everyone can enjoy the event comfortably. We have limited the number of tickets to 6 tickets per family.
We hope you will join us for a time of music, reflection, and celebration of the true meaning of Christmas!
