Roland's Tiger Times
November 2026
Principal's Update
Students at Roland Rogers enjoyed a month filled with powerful and unique learning experiences both inside and outside the classroom. In addition to growing as readers, writers, thinkers, and leaders, our students were treated to hands-on experiences with firefighters and first responders, motivated by sports legends, and participated in both a Week of Respect and School Violence Awareness Week.
We want to wish you all a fantastic Fall Break next week (11/2 through 11/6), and we look forward to seeing all of your children's smiling faces back in school on Monday, 11/9 at 8:35 a.m.!

ATTENDANCE COUNTS!
Thank you always for sending your children to school on time every day they are healthy. Consistent daily attendance at school pays big dividends for your children's future success.
The magic number is 10! Students who miss 10 days or less of school each year perform significantly higher in reading and math and have a nearly 100% graduation rate 💯.
I am happy to report that at Roland Rogers over 95% of our students have been present every day, so far this school year! Please remember that students who arrive after 11 a.m. do not get credit for attending that school day.

Roland Tigers R.O.A.R.!
Support our positive behavior incentives and rewards system at home with your children by stressing the importance of our school's core values:
RESPECT - OPPORTUNITY - ACHIEVEMENT - RESPONSIBILITY
Students who demonstrate these behaviors at school receive blue tickets, which allows them to earn rewards. Whole classes that demonstrate these values can earn a red ticket that goes toward a whole-class reward, like a pajama party or extra recess.
