MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
CHS Families and Students,
Chardon High School is fortunate to have had Mr. Doug Snyder as a cornerstone of our school and community for over 25 years. Doug is not just an athletic director—he is a community member, parent, teacher, coach, and a true Hilltopper in every sense. His dedication to supporting our student-athletes goes beyond the countless hours he spends organizing events, recognizing athletic accomplishments, and attending games and matches each week. It’s difficult to have a conversation with Doug without hearing a story about a recent or past athletic event that he recalls with perfect clarity.
This past Friday, we honored Doug with a student assembly that celebrated his incredible commitment. From heartfelt student speeches and the special shirts worn during the football game—were moments that truly captured the impact Doug has had on Chardon’s students and athletes.
Doug Snyder exemplifies what it means to be a Hilltopper, and we are proud to recognize him for all he has done and continues to do for our school and community. He truly is the GOAT!
END OF THE QUARTER
It's hard to believe, but we're already nearing the end of the first grading quarter. Now is the time to finish strong! Encourage your student to review their grades and make sure all assignments are completed and submitted.
Seniors: If you finish the quarter with a 3.0 GPA or higher and you previously did not qualify for Late Start/Early Release, you will now be eligible. Please note, however, that NO schedule changes will be made to accommodate this.
AC4P GEARITY TRIP
This week, a group of students from the Always Caring 4 People Club visited Gearity Elementary School to help prepare meals for a local food bank. This was another fantastic service-learning opportunity that allowed our students to give back to the community in a meaningful way. We are proud of their dedication and commitment to making a positive impact!
