MTSS Leads Weekly Updates

Welcome back! I hope that each of you has had a wonderful winter break and are feeling refreshed and ready to receive students. The January weather looks to be much as we have come to expect leaving us with a sense of unpredictability but Shelby County has also been inundated with a spike in illness. That being said I encourage you to remain prepared and ready as we open our Winter Universal Screening Window on Wednesday, January 8, 2025. Please ensure that you review the January Professional Learning Opportunities and share those as appropriate.

Please adhere to the schedule you submitted in December. If you must make adjustments, please amend the schedule in your school folder.

The iReady Diagnostic will not be available until Wednesday, January 8th at 7:30 a.m. Students are able to interact with their personalized My Path until the window opens.

Students in K-6 will complete:

• iReady Reading Diagnostic
• iReady Math Diagnostic
• Written Expression
• *iReady Literacy Tasks if scoring below the 25th percentile on iReady Reading Diagnostic

All students in 7-8 and only 9-12 students enrolled in intervention courses will complete:

• iReady Reading Diagnostic
• iReady Math Diagnostic

Kudos to Douglass K-8 Lead Rhonda Black for noting a device check into the Winter Universal Screening Schedule! Please ensure that all devices that will be used for testing have been powered on and are charged up so that they are ready for students on Wednesday, January 8th.

Consider talking with students about what they will do to improve on their Diagnostic score.

If you need support, please submit a request to join my MSCS Office Hours. Invites will be sent for requests received by Tuesday at 7:30 a.m. Those received after are scheduled for the following week unless they can be worked in.

The active tickets with Pearson aimswebPlus were able to be resolved at the end of December 2024. However, if you notice issues with rostering (students appearing on a roster who are not and have not been enrolled) or issues with progress monitoring schedules being reset, please email me with the following information.

We still have active tickets with this vendor and are receiving progress updates. Thank you to those of you who have take time to hop on calls and/or provide additional information to support troubleshooting. I anticipate that I will continue to have to work with individuals to test or gather additional information until fully resolved.

Over the Winter Break, PCG was able to update the teacher and student roster on the MTSS side of the TNPulse platform. While almost all have been corrected there remain a handful that are still not sticking. The vendor will continue to work on this.
