The Weekly Update #4
March 28th, 2025

Dr. Torres Mission
We, the teachers, staff, parents, and students of Dr. Joseph Torres Elementary School, as a community of learners, will work together to provide a positive and challenging learning environment, affording opportunities for parental and community involvement, and encouraging students to demonstrate responsible and respectful behavior.
ATTENDANCE MATTERS 🌟🌟
We need your support to ensure our students have a great attendance and arrive on time each day. Regular attendance is essential for teachers to guide and support your child academically, helping them stay on track and reach their full potential.
We want to emphasize the importance of ensuring students remain on campus for the entirety of the school day. Early departures, sometimes unavoidable, can disrupt your child's learning and overall classroom environment. Each part of the day, including the final lessons and activities, is thoughtfully planned to support academic growth and build essential skills; when students leave early, they miss valuable instruction and the opportunity to complete their day alongside peers.
We kindly ask that early pickups be limited to emergencies or unavoidable circumstances. Together, we can help ensure that every student has the opportunity to thrive in a consistent learning environment.
