WHS-Raised Animals Take On Chelan County Fair
Earlier this month, Wenatchee FFA students took part in the Chelan County Fair, where several students were named champions in their respective categories, including students who raised their animals right here at Wenatchee High School.
Beginning last year, students in FFA and WHS’ Animal Science course have raised chickens, goats, and sheep at the WHS campus coop and ag barn. The program ensures students from all backgrounds can participate in livestock raising without needing land or resources at home. Students dedicated significant time outside regular school hours and throughout the summer to care for the animals and prepare them for competition.
This is the first year students have been able to show animals raised on WHS property at local fairs, and the work is paying off! The success of the WHS campus coop and barn is a testament to Wenatchee CTE’s commitment to hands-on experience and creating opportunities for all students. Congratulations to the Wenatchee FFA students who presented at fair this year!

Volleyball & Soccer Bring Home Wins Over Eastmont
Panther Volleyball topped Eastmont 3-1 at their Battle of the Bridges showdown on Tuesday where the girls hosted their Teachers & Educators Appreciation Night and junior Kate Berry celebrated 500 career digs.
The girls soccer team also played their match against Eastmont this week, where the Panthers brought home a 1-0 victory! Way to put in the work ladies, and shoutout to the Panther Pit for filling the student section with purple and gold to cheer the girls on!

Panthers of the Week & Wenatchee Panther Podcast Interviews
Congratulations to the first recipients of Panther of the Week: Amaya Cabrera Vargas and Wes Beach! Each week during the 2026-27 school year, Wenatchee Athletics will be celebrating two Panthers of the Week in collaboration with the Wenatchee Panther Podcast. Athletes are nominated by coaches and receive a medal courtesy of Haglund’s Trophies.
This award is based on athletes’ work toward being a great teammate, driven competitor, and responsible communicator. For those teams taking part in the LeadEmUp program, athletes will also be evaluated on whether they are in the “green”. When athletes work hard, they excel on and off the field!
