From the Principal
It has been a great opening few weeks at Monadnock Regional Middle High School. Students are settling into routines, adjusting to expectations around personal devices, and diving into their classes with energy. We are excited to see our newest students and staff quickly becoming part of the MRMHS community.
The start of the year is also a great time to set goals. For some students, that may be as simple as arriving to school on time each day or establishing a regular study and homework routine to avoid last-minute cramming. Others may aim for bigger goals, such as earning top grades across all of their classes, joining a new club or team, or improving their leadership skills. Whatever the goal, setting a plan early helps students stay motivated and build positive habits for the rest of the year.
The Middle School kicked off the year with fun and engaging challenges designed to teach students βhow to do schoolβ while building teamwork and school spirit. Our High School Seniors carried on a favorite tradition by painting their parking spots with creative designs, adding color and personality to the start of the year. The Marching Band and Football teams also brought excitement to our first home game of the season, where the team came away with a strong 26β6 win!
We also held our first successful school/family Zooms to start the year and look forward to hosting more around each report card time. As we move further into the fall, we encourage families to stay connected and engaged. Please be on the lookout for information about upcoming family and teacher conferences, and remember to check Alma regularly for early grade updates. This is a great way to monitor progress and address questions before they become concerns. Teachers, school counselors, and administrators are always available, and early communication is the best way to ensure a strong year for every student.
Thank you for your continued support as we build on this strong start together.

From the Health Office
As we prepare for the start of the school year, Iβd like to share a few important reminders from the Health Office:
Tdap Vaccination Requirement
A reminder that several middle school students are still missing either their Tdap vaccination record or an exemption form. Families who choose not to vaccinate may submit an exemption form instead, but it is important that I receive one of these two documents.
You may fax the paperwork to me at 603-355-1209, or call if you need an exemption form.
State law requires students to have a Tdap vaccine, typically given around age 11 or 12. This requirement also follows CDC guidelines for school-mandated vaccinations. Please be sure to send me a copy of your childβs most recent physical that shows the Tdap. Iβve noticed that some students who are otherwise up to date on their vaccines are still missing this one.
If your child requires medication during the school day, please fax a copy of the medication orders to the Health Office. Having these in advance allows me to enter them into our system before the first day of school.
Thank you for your help in making sure our students have a healthy and smooth start to the year!
Sincerely,
Lisa Brooks, RN
MRMHS School Nurse
