Principal's Message
Dear Bragg School Families,
As we conclude another wonderful school year at Bragg School, I want to extend my sincere gratitude to our students, staff, and families for their partnership, support, and dedication throughout the year. As my first year at Bragg comes to a close, I feel incredibly fortunate to have joined such a caring, dedicated, and supportive school community. Together, we have created a positive learning environment where students have grown academically, socially, and emotionally. I have enjoyed watching our students embrace new challenges, demonstrate leadership, and support one another as members of our Bragg school community.
This year has been filled with memorable experiences, accomplishments, and exciting new beginnings. I am proud of the work we have done and the initiatives that will continue to benefit our students for years to come. As we begin summer vacation, I encourage everyone to take time to rest, recharge, and enjoy special moments with family and friends. Thank you for making my first year at Bragg so rewarding. I wish all of our families a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable summer, and I look forward to welcoming everyone back in the fall as we continue to learn, lead, and grow together.
Sincerely,
Peter Mercurio
Principal of Bragg School

Leadership Message
As we finish the school year, we focus on the importance of Habit 6: Synergize and Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw. Synergy happens when we work together and value the strengths, talents, and ideas of others. Throughout the year, our students have demonstrated that teamwork leads to greater success. Whether collaborating on projects, supporting classmates, or participating in school-wide events, our students have shown that when we combine our strengths, we can accomplish amazing things.
Habit 7 reminds us of the importance of taking care of ourselves and continuing to grow. As summer approaches, we encourage students to "sharpen their saw" by finding balance in their lives. Reading a good book, spending time outdoors, learning a new skill, exercising, and enjoying time with family and friends are all wonderful ways to recharge and prepare for the opportunities ahead. We are proud of all that our students have achieved this year and look forward to seeing them continue to learn, lead, and grow.

Fifth Graders!
As we close another successful school year at Bragg School, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to our fifth-grade students. We are incredibly proud of all they have accomplished during their time at Bragg, both academically and as leaders within our school community. Their hard work, perseverance, and commitment to learning have helped shape a positive and supportive environment for everyone around them.
As our fifth graders prepare to begin the next chapter of their educational journey at Black River Middle School, we wish them continued success, confidence, and happiness. We know they will carry the skills, friendships, and leadership qualities they developed at Bragg with them as they embrace new opportunities and challenges. We are excited to see all that they will achieve in the years ahead!
2026 - 2027 Class Placements
At this time of year, many questions naturally arise regarding class placements for the upcoming school year. Please know that the teachers and I take the placement process very seriously and approach it thoughtfully and collaboratively. Our goal is to create well-balanced learning environments in which all students have the opportunity to grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
Over the next couple of weeks, teachers, specialists, counselors, and administration will work together to review student information and carefully develop class groupings. In creating classes, many factors are considered, including academic strengths and needs, learning styles, social dynamics, student support services, and balanced distribution of students across classrooms. We strive to place students in environments that will foster positive collaboration, confidence, and success.
As part of this process, we also recognize that parents know their children best and may wish to share important information regarding their child’s learning needs. While we value and consider parent input as one component of the overall process, please understand that due to the complexities of balancing classes and meeting the needs of all students, we are unable to accept requests for specific teachers or requests for students to be placed with friends.
Our shared goal is to provide every child with a successful and rewarding school experience while also offering a variety of educational opportunities and experiences that encourage growth, resilience, independence, and confidence. Thank you again for your continued support of Bragg School.
